There are a lot of books like "my quiet life in another world doing X" where X may be smithing, cooking, running an apothecary or a store etc etc. For me most of them feel like the author is forcing their hobbies upon the reader and I just skip several pages at a time to see where the plot is going and then drop the series altogether.
Kunon the Sorcerer is similar to these types of books (except it is not an isekai) but for some reason I liked it a lot. This light novel is focused on magic and on the process of learning it.

Majutsushi Kunon wa Mieteiru is a light novel that tells the story of a boy named Kunon who was born blind but aims to use water magic to create new eyes for himself. While the premise may seem interesting, the execution of the story falls flat and leaves much to be desired.
The characters are one-dimensional and lack any depth or complexity. Kunon himself is a typical "Mary Sue" character, excelling at everything he does without any struggle or challenge.
