Synopsis

A hitman and a marriage swindler set out on the world's most grueling battle for marriage! Gero is a young man from a clan of hitmen, which has been in existence for hundreds of years. "Promising" is the word I would use to describe MARRIAGETOXIN.

It's rare for characters to build such a genuine friendship as quickly as this one, but the circumstances and character writing for Gero and Kinosaki make it refreshing and believable. I'd also like to give a shout-out to the power system. It's a soft one, with lots of wiggle room to be used narratively; which is okay because it's not the focus of the story.

Non-spoiler review: This story has a lot of heart, great characters, adorable moments, and some intense action. It balances all these things very well and you can't help but root for Gero Hikaru who isn't the most refined man at first but seeing how much he wants to grow as a person as well as a suitable husband for some lucky woman is truly endearing. It has some fun twists and even though the story follows a formula, it hasn't gotten boring simply because the characters are so well written. MarriageToxin or MarriagexToxin is an very interesting manga in my opinion. The story revolves around a man named Gero who belongs to a clan of poison users. He one day meets a girl/boy (not confirmed) named Kinosaki, and Kinosaki helps him to find a wife so that his clan could continue or else his lesbian sister would have to marry a guy and produce babies. This was a synopsis of the story without spoiling.
