Meet Morichika Rinnosuke, owner of the antique store Kourindou, a man of taste and intelligence. Story - 9
Each chapter is self contained, just like most of Zun's work, and is mostly just Rinnosuke's inner monologue. His monologue typically revolves around what ever topic that comes up his mind, which can range from hidden meanings behind Yukari's name, to reminiscing of the outside world, to trying to explain how technology works through the
...
logic of Gensokyo (Which end up really hilarious, as he concludes that computer is similar to Shikigami because they both run into trouble in water).
Character - 9
Rinnosuke is an interesting person, he is both a collector and a shopkeeper, half youkai and half human, a man with quite a past. As one of the few male named character in Touhou, he does his job as the maintenance guy very well, not taking the spotlight but remains highly memorable. His personality really shows from his internal thoughts, his love for the outside world in his memory, his personal relationship with other people and his view of the world. A mature and intriguing man.
Overall - 9
A good read that explores Touhou lore, and the introduction of one of the few named males in the world of Touhou. Quite a handsome and good man, can certainly see where all the fan pairing comes from, 10 out of 10 would date.
