Synopsis

I met my childhood friend again, and she had become a beautiful and innocent girl.

"It's been a while, Hayato."
"Haruki, is it?"

In the past, I used to play in the mud with my childhood friend in the countryside, and when I saw him again, there was no trace of the bratty young man I thought he was back then. Only in front of Hayato, she threw away the coat she was wearing and reacted in the same crass way she did back then. The distance between you and me has not changed.

I love the story. you would say its pretty generic but there's nothing wrong with that! I really hope this continues because i'm glued.
The art style is gorgeous. I've always been a fan of the modern manga art style.
The characters are generic as they can be (except for Haruki ig)... but as i said earlier, for a average rom com enjoyer this is gold.
I feel like this series is not getting much recognition (a lot of hidden gems like this usually dont get recognised anyway) and i would love to see this pop off and make it to the top!

Character archetype spoiler, which still pisses me off.

Despite me being a complete sucker for the whole childhood friend dynamic and chemistry within a high school romance story, this was pretty mediocre all around from its predictable and generic writing/plot devices.

As an overview, the plot isn’t the best solely from the manga’s premise relying on a cliche trope. As for the plot points, developments, and potential uniqueness, they all suffer from the same thing: generics. This manga got axed at 37 chapters sadly. To put into perspective the manga adapted 4-ish volumes of the light novel, which is currently still ongoing with 8 volumes. And yeah, the last chapter gives no closure to anything at all.

At one point I took the bait and decided to pick up the original source to see where the story goes from there but I'm disappointed to see that the novel devolved into a wishy washy harem for no real reason, so I guess it was doomed anyway.
