Compared to many vampire stories, I found this one to be relatively light and an easy read.
I like its take on "vampirism" in that our MC isn't a full-fledged vampire nor is he caught up in any vampire/human politics. All he has are more pointy teeth than normal and a story from his father about some distant ancestor having been a vampire. One night, while drinking with a friend, he ends up bringing up this heritage that his father told him about. The friend, who loves occult things, is very excited about this and asks him to bite him. He reluctantly agrees and then finds himself

with a hard-on from the act. One thing leads to another and they essentially become fuck-buddies.
The rest of the "drama" that arises revolves around neither being able to clearly communicate their desires nor fully understand/trust the others desires and motivations (annoying, but par for the course in the genre).
There is a non-con (or dub-con at best) scene where the friend decides to go further (be more physically intimate) than the MC wants to at that point and doesn't listen to the MC. I like that the author chose for this to drive them further apart instead of bringing them closer. The friend's still a dick for his actions, but at least it is sort of addressed instead of just being played for fan service.
There is plenty of fanservice and eye candy though and their art style is nice.
