Where do I even start?
This anime was an emotional roller coaster from beginning to end.
I'm not sure what I expected when I sat down to watch "the gay robot anime" but it certainly delivered.

I really enjoyed how it explored the themes of what it means to be a hero, what courage and bravery look like, and what it means to bond with and care about someone. Despite the abundance of robots (both sentient and not) it really showed what it means to be human and the experiences that make us who we are.

I appreciated how it could go from ridiculously silly to gut wrenchingly serious in ...

Mixed Feelings
I read part of this years ago, so it was nice to be able to get ahold of the whole thing and in print form now.
Priest x vampire certainly isn't a new combo, but the "vampires can live off any human fluid" (in this case cum) was a new and interesting take that I haven't seen done elsewhere. Though now I wonder if that makes him more incubus then vampire?

It's yaoi, and one with more porn than plot to it, but still enough plot to create emotional investment in the characters and their motivations. It uses a lot of Catholic motifs and language, yet none ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (5/? chp)
Based off of Vol.1 only.
It's cute, funny, charming, and heartwarming.
I enjoyed Lizel's nonchalant approach to the whole "suddenly in another world" thing. I have mixed feelings about it though, because the main characters are overpowered compared to everyone else and everything just falls into place without much worry or trouble. This would normally lead me to then say "boring" but what it lacks in action/adventure it makes up for in feel good vibes and character interactions. I'm interested to see where it goes from here, but also don't see myself rushing out to get the next volume right away.

There's also just something about it that ...

I think that it strikes a good balance between porn and plot.

That being said, the plot can be boiled down to "MC gets sexually assaulted by the yokai of the week, but then his black winged protector shows up and rescues him" which is repeated for most of the book. This set up allows for the presentation of many different yokai and by extension a number of different erotic scenes. Those who like bondage/restraint/tentacle will most likely find it to be pleasing. I also enjoyed its horror elements as it nicely walks a fine line between scary and exciting.

The use of yokai in creating ...

Vampires and erotica go very well together and this is no exception.

The plot is fairly predictable, but they throw in some interesting backstory which makes it a bit more memorable/interesting. Common to the genre, this is a "non-con to lovers" set up, but given that there's a vampire involved and there are horror elements, it feels somewhat believable.

The artstyle has an older feel to it (90's to early 2000's), but I still generally like it.
The erotic portions are well paced and laid out, and convey a good sense of feeling and movement.

Overall I enjoyed it and would read it again.

Mixed Feelings
Good as a smut piece, but not much else.

The main plot of "good looking guy ends up working as an escort/prostitute to pay off debt/fund something important to them" is pretty common in the genre at this point, and this one doesn't deviate much from what one would expect from that. The motorcyclist flare to this one is a nice touch though and I appreciate the cocky-confidence that the MC has about pretty much everything that he does.

Overall though the characters don't have much in the way of personality or development and are fairly one note. We don't really get to see much about their ...

I found the story to be very cute and sweet. Additionally, the art was pretty and I especially enjoyed the nature scenes and starry skies.

Other than featuring a character in a wheelchair and showing some of the daily difficulties he faces, the plot doesn't necessarily stand out in any way. The characters almost instantly fall for each other but don't communicate that right off. Then they do acknowledge it, face a little bit of drama, but ultimately everything works out. It's been done many times before. Even though it was predictable, it did have a few unique flourishes as far as featuring a character with ...

Preliminary (10/22 chp)
I wouldn't normally think that comedy and horror could be combined, but somehow this makes it work. While the subject matter is very dark (murder, abduction, cannibalism, rape, assault, human trafficing, etc.) it's presented in such a way that the reader doesn't dwell on or think too deeply about those aspects. Instead the focus is shifted to the relationship that has been formed and poking fun at the absurdity of it all.

Some might object to its "romanticization" of Stockholm syndrome, but I don't think this work was ever meant to be taken seriously and thus I wouldn't dwell on that too much.

If you ...

I really like the historical setting of this work and how it captures the struggles of the time in regards to the purpose and meaning of swordsmanship training. Both characters are generally likable and I appreciate that their relationship is one that's grown over time and shared experiences. I absolutely love the clothing of that time period, even more so in its removal and half put on states, as was regularly depicted here. I also appreciate that both characters were depicted in an equally masculine and capable way, which to me makes them more believable and their relationship dynamics more interesting.

As an fyi, there ...

Preliminary (6/22 chp)
I wish this had been around when I was in Junior High/High School.

It takes a subject that is normally treated as "awkward" and finds a way to make it both humorous and informative. While not completely comprehensive (you can't use this to replace a Sex Ed class) it does offer a great starting point or spring board for girls to learn more about themselves and feel more comfortable in their own skin. It asks and answers questions and even offers resources for further information on the topics covered.

The art style is nice to look at and avoids over sexualizing any of the characters. It has ...
