Preliminary (10/22 chp)
I wouldn't normally think that comedy and horror could be combined, but somehow this makes it work. While the subject matter is very dark (murder, abduction, cannibalism, rape, assault, human trafficing, etc.) it's presented in such a way that the reader doesn't dwell on or think too deeply about those aspects. Instead the focus is shifted to the relationship that has been formed and poking fun at the absurdity of it all.

Some might object to its "romanticization" of Stockholm syndrome, but I don't think this work was ever meant to be taken seriously and thus I wouldn't dwell on that too much.

If you like macabre humor and BL, then I would give this one a read.
If you're easily triggered, then I would give this one a pass.

(This review is for Vol 1 & 2, I haven't read Vol 3 yet.)
