I don't think this is particularly good but I enjoyed my time with it. While the characters and story are generic and generally uninteresting, I think at least what makes this enjoyable for me is that the story does not skim on the world-building details (though it is also generic) and thus, the story does not fast forward or treat the mundane as a disruptive element to the absurd, overpowered battle sequences that the generic Isekai media like to skip to.
Still, that does not at all dismiss the fact that the plotting has a very loose structure and is generally lacking stakes, as well
...
as the fact that the protagonist has little depth and is overpowered as all hell. The story also does not know how to implement weight into its crucial story beats (e.g. MC at one point teaches an Isekai blacksmith a new way of blacksmithing in the most casual manner).
But honestly, were you expecting anything different from a manga that is literally called "Isekai Cheat Magic Swordsman"? This is escapist media. It tells a power fantasy narrative and it is unapologetic about it. While certainly, I would argue the best power fantasy Isekai stories (that aren't built to be subversive, aka The Eminence in Shadow) are the ones that know how to layer its power fantasy narrative with other compelling story elements, I can't fault this for doing what it does, it knows what it is and it embraces it whole-heartedly.
