Whenever I think of an Isekai sexual narrative, I always think back to JK Haru is a Sex Worker in Another World, which also introduces heavy sexual content into the Isekai narrative. Jk Haru valiantly places its protagonist into an underdog position and intelligently plays with power fantasy Isekai tropes to produce intriguing world-building and decent drama, making some kind of misogynistic statement on the genre (or something). Despite its boldly sexualised premise of the red light district and all of the depictions of sex in the story, JK Haru manages to sidestep the categorisation of sexual fantasy and tread into dramatic Isekai narrative territory. ...

Sadly, this is not the case for this one. It's a sexual fantasy through and through and offers little to nothing other than a ridiculous premise and sexual encounter. It's almost hentai. While there are some attempts at world-building here and there, the genric ideas and writing, and the poor way they have been set up makes them out to be window dressing instead of any establishment of the world the characters are in. And the main character is as bland as humanly possible, an otaku of sorts who reluctantly falls into a series of sexual escapades and somehow gets out of situations with another girl to add to his harem. The way that the writer has made the girls enter this guy's harem is also written in the most illogical, poorly paced, and insipid manner as well (chapter 4 in particular is cringe).

Basically, this is hentai masquerading as manga. I am even trying to figure out if it can even be categorised as a 'manga' with all of the explicit sex it depicts in such titillating detail. I suppose this is another example of how sexual content is beginning to be normalised in the commercial manga industry. I'm not really against adult content, but I think that when there are other adult works out there that have better writing, and embrace their role as 'self-pleasure' material, what place is there for something like this? Also, I can't for the life of me figure out how this existed as a light novel first.

A version of this done much, much better is Isekai Meikyuu De Harem O. Slice of life is done pretty well, and the characters are pretty well written, with the writer properly characterising the girl's interior conflict and all that. Also, the protagonist's relationship with the girls is quite believable. There's more thought has been put into world-building, and pretty good action, and though the story lacks stakes and an end conflict, at the very least the pacing and well-delivered story beats make it a decent read.

I’ve been catching up on a lot of isekai trash recently, even eroges, but this manga was just too much. Though I can’t say that I don’t have a negative bias against eroticas, it doesn’t influence or change the fact that this is absolute garbage; it was so garbage that I only read two chapters before calling it quits. Simply put, the characters are made entirely out of the author’s fantasy while having no rhyme or reason, the plot, well, there is none, and the world-building is absurdly cliche and convenient.

The mc is quite possibly one of the most infuriating erotica protagonist or any ... protagonist I’ve seen in a while; along with having no backbone, he has the most idiotic thoughts and explanations following those thoughts, even when the obvious is slapping him in the face. For the side characters, they fall under the curse of the harem and erotica story; in other words, they have no depth and their sole purpose is to fall on the mc’s lap, touching a certain sword.

The plot is absolutely pathetic; though it has only been two chapters, there was no clear direction for the plot line due to the main character being wishy-washy, reflecting his ambitions. Even if there was one, it resembled a poorly made gag.

With my utmost sincerity, do not read this manga unless you’re looking for a censored, poorly-done story of literally any doujin on a certain website.
