If you like reading about psychological horror and messed up romance, this is a good pick.
In contrast to Fujitobi's somewhat cutesy artstyle, this onesot is violent and twisted. I think the first few pages sum up the main character best: he hated the world until the apocalypse hit, and then he found it beautiful. The story follows him, who doesn't hesitate to slam a weapon into the skulls of his zombified classmates & neighbors, and the more earnest classmate he's protecting.
The main character's foil moves through the story with very expected reactions, fear and trepidation and grief, that highlight the main character's unnatural apathy.
...
Their interactions feel almost disjointed, never quite on the same wavelength, and you get to watch them force their way through their dynamic until everything crumbles.
The twist and turn at the end are satisfying, and I think the story does a lot in the short window it has. I think it could only be improved by being longer.
