So that's how it is: I am a 26 year old female otaku and this manga really hits the spot. Of course i am a fan of shoujo manga. However, i am quite tired of reading stories of 15 year old high school girls. Promise cinderella is different. The female protagonist is 27, the male is 17. They both have their emotional problems and i really like how everythink is wrapped up in a nice new josei series about either growing up, or ongoing changes in adulthood.

It's been a while since I binged a manga in less than a day, and Promise Cinderella is now one of my favourites. The storyline grabbed me in from the first chapter, and I adore reading age gap manga, especially when the female lead is older.

Promise Cinderella is an age gap romantic comedy where the female is 10 years older. I love age gaps although I prefer males being older so I was a bit skeptical about this one regarding romance but this was fantastic. It didn’t even feel like there was a 10 year age gap and like you won’t feel even a bit uncomfortable with whatever is going on. I believe it's been a long time since I encountered a manga that made me feel this angry to the point where I want to cry. And I doubt that there's anyone who knows about this manga, but still, I'm writing this to warn you from reading it.

As you read in the story, it's about a 27 years old woman who is a righteous person gets cheated on by her husband and he asks her to divorce, then she's on the street searching for a place to live in , her money gets stolen , she becomes homeless living in a park and then a ... ***** ***** (I believe my English isn't enough to describe how a piece of shit this guy is so just imagine the worst words you can come with ) rude high schooler who is obviously rich cuz how not, tells her that he can give her a place to live in if she allows him to make her life more miserable , she refuses but of course we can't just let her go or else how we can we have this shitty plot continue, so they fight over some curry, she spills it on a very expensive painting and so the plot continues, congratulations ! you've created one of the worst stories I've ever read !

Now let's start with the funny thing, I read this first thinking it's going to be isekai , the guy's name (issei) is a little similar to isekai, in the cover she was wearing a dress , he was wearing a prince clothing , the manga's name (promise cinderella ) all made me think it was an isekai.

Now with the serious things, first, her husbands asks her for divorce and then we never see him again, did they got divorced already ? It didn't seem so. Getting divorced is not something you can do in a one phone call. Did they not ? he said he wanted to make another woman happy which means he wants to marry her, how can he when they're still married ?
Ok, let's pretend they got divorced , did she just go away like that with a small suitcase and some money ? WTF ? It didn't seem like she got kicked out of the house , couldn't she tell her husbands that she needs to stay for a while until she finds a new place to move to ? especially when she knows she's got nowhere else.

And then of course happens this cliché thing where her money gets stolen and now she's homeless, couldn't she contact her former husband ? oh she's so proudful that she's willing to live in the garbage. Why didn't she look for a job ? it was never shown that she did. Even a simple job is enough, doesn't she know how dangerous it is for a woman to live in the streets ? Why couldn't she borrow some money and pay her debt later ?

She is nearly in her thirties but she acts like she's 17 years old. And talking about 17 years old kids, I will not waste my time cursing the ML, he is a ********.

Promise Cinderella handles a sus age gap with grace. The couple have a ten year age difference, but they don’t really act on their feelings until the ML, Issei, turns 18. The manga is very aware of the problems of the age gap making it not feel uncomfortable, if you're worried about that. That being said it is a slow burn romance and you might feel frustrated how they are beating around the bush but in this context it works so well!

The first few chapters might feel a bit rough to get through, since Issei is a MAJOR arsehole in the beginning. If you manage ...
