For the most part, I think it's a pretty sweet story. It's relatively short, with 24 chapters in total, so it's a rather quick read.
The story follows the two young adults, Daisuke and Matsuri. They were very close childhood friends in the past, but got separated and are now reunited at university. And as you'd expect, love is blooming between them.
Character-wise they're nothing out of the ordinary. Daisuke is pretty much your typical nice guy, Matsuriis more of a tsundere, although nothing extreme.

"A cute quickie" is how I would describe this manga in the simplest terms. The set up of the romance is quick and snappy, and the main characters are fleshed out quite well considering the manga's length. Their dynamic is very fun to see, I especially enjoy the "rowdy-cutie" vibe of Matsuri. The third wheel character does a okay job of adding some spice and comedy to the story, and I like her first chapter a lot, although that's kinda it. Osananajimi ni najimitai or I want to get along with my childhood friend could be described as a lighthearted comedy, romance of sorts consisting of main character Fujiminoo Daisuke and main girl Hino Matsuri. I don't wanna give too much detail on the plot because the manga's only 24 chapters long.
Overall I find this to be a very cute read and this manga proves that any writer could pull of a good story within such a small period of time. The art was a bit underwhelming but it didn't bother me all that much, it could've been much greater though. In terms of romance ... |
