Synopsis

Yutaka Hozumi has always been bad at eating in the company of others, with people complaining that his presence makes mealtimes boring and food taste bad. While eating lunch alone one day, he is suddenly approached by a hungry little boy to whom he hands over the onigiri from his meal. When the boy's older brother shows up, Yutaka is introduced to Tane and Minoru Ueda—a pair of siblings with a significant age gap.

When Yutaka meets the brothers again, they ask to learn how to make his special rice balls; little Tane insists that they were the best he had ever eaten. Succumbing to Tane's adorable pleas and his own fear of the intimidating Minoru, Yutaka agrees to become their cooking teacher.

As lessons morph into meals, Yutaka and the siblings grow closer—but Tane and Minoru's close bond draws out uncomfortable memories for Yutaka, and there are feelings lurking beneath the surface of these group meals that were not initially apparent.

now Im not really into BL manga or anime, mainly because I'm a straight dude who likes big burly men fighting each other, which sounds gay but it really isn't. Now onto topic, our dining table is a Shounen ai, BL, Yaoi what ever you want to title it manga, it follows a man who is bad at eating with others named Yutaka, he meets to brothers named Minoru and Tane and begins to eat with them.

out of all the fujoshi garbage in the world, our dining table stands out to me as a truly human and relatable manga, its heartwarming and a joy to read more

I LOVED this manga. I'm shocked to see it doesn't have any reviews here yet. It is pretty hard to find - I had to read the second half of it from the gallery of a BL Facebook page, haha - but it is there!
If you're looking for a wholesome and SFW shounen ai manga with a true love story, this is it!
This is just... so. fucking. cute. You can really feel the love that blossoms between the main characters. Minoru's little brother (Tane) definitely made the story for me - the interactions between the protagonist (Yutaka) and Tane, and how that made Minoru fall read more

Honestly yall, I normally never say this much about gay manga but this nearly made me friggin emotional!!!

I just felt so sorry for the Yutaka character because literally, his adoptive family just treated him like a piece of crap and his adoptive brother just wasn't at all helpful to him. Man saying this makes me wanna hug Yutaka 😭😭😭😭😭

It was great to see Yutaka being made to feel like he was part of Minoru's family. Urgh my heart is making me nearly a mess here seriously lol!

Yutaka and Minoru were so sweet together ❤

This was such a good manga, I was so happy reading this that I almost wanted to cry. It was just so sweet, and even though it was a pretty simple story, it was really well executed. I also liked how it didn't really follow the typical BL thing where there is a lack of consent. It felt like there was a mutual respect for each other and all the characters were nicely developed. I also liked how in the last chapter there was a time-skip so you could see how they developed and what the living situation was like over time.
