You can expect anything you want about "kicked out from party" theme, you can guess and predict anything you want, you already know the stereotype about this theme in manga world, you know the rules and so do I. You talk about "the lack of originality" or "cliché aspect of kicked out from party", but I talk about how well the story is executed or not, how good the author delivery it or not. This one, I guarantee you, you won't be dissapointed.
The world mechanics about exploring the depth of the labyrinth, the party's role composition, how important each role in the fight, the
...
origin of magic and how it works, every monsters and spells, all those aspects explained very well throughout the series (with details, unless you just looking at the images, of course you won't understand anything). One of the most important aspect this series want to highlight is, the role of an enchanter, the job that act as support in battle. Many people would think "your job is just to buff the party in a safest place in the back, what's so hard about it?". That's exactly the thought of the main antagonist in the series, the hero's party who kick our brilliant MC, the 3 idiots who neglect all details and lead to their own doom. How buff and debuff works in this world are explained perfectly, you'll learn it's not that easy to perform it, our MC is able to casually cast it and making it look simple, after he gone through hard work of training and learning.
Most people ignore and don't care about details, but MC is working with details everyday. Once people learn and know about what MC doing, they got amazed and think "how this dude do that casually?". The character development of our MC is well written. From when he got kicked out, he is not letting the depression linger too long, he stand up and follow his old passion as swordsman. Even if the news and rumors about him "got expelled from hero's party" spread to the world, and everyone start to looking down on him, he keep fulfilling his job and maintain professionalism. Whenever he feels down, he always remember his old promises and vows. He is surrounded by positive vibe people (except the 3 idiots of course). The gramps who always there giving him life advices, and the smile of the loli, boosting the mood 1000x times better. Other side characters are introduced very well, they got their own trait and speciality, the background story is delivered really good with good timing. The fan service too, it's delivered proportionally in good timing, you know when time to get serious or when time to get relaxed. Now about the battle scenes, it's portrayed and drawn in perfect delivery eye-catching, you feel the intense of the battle, and you can't stop reading it.
So overall, if you want to feel the experience from another "kicked out from party" theme, with a great story execution and delivery, I recommend this for you.
