Synopsis

Fresh off of an awful breakup, Shizuma Ikushima ends up heavily intoxicated and wakes up in bed with a strange man the next day. When confronted by Minato Mito, the man with whom he spent the night, Shizuma cannot remember a single detail of the previous evening. His forgetfulness offends Minato, who swears vengeance on Shizuma with a mean-spirited bet to seduce him and break his heart.

But despite their rough start, the two grow closer. As they begin to fall for each other, Shizuma struggles with his sexual identity while Minato wrestles with unfamiliar emotions and unresolved trauma.

Therapy Game was published in English by SuBLime from June 9, 2020 to September 8, 2020. The series was ranked seventh in the Best Comic category of BL website Chill Chill's 10th annual BL Awards in 2019.

Two drama CDs adapting the manga were released by Shinshokan from March 13, 2020 to April 10, 2020.

(Before you start reading, I recommend reading Secret XXX, as this is the story of Shouhei's older brother and Mito's younger brother).

Therapy Game is quite unique. I'm not just saying this out of bias, but because in my experience reading BL, it is one of the best stories I've read so far of this genre. I've read fantastic stories and other extremely toxic ones, and I must say in my personal opinion that Minato and Shizuma's story is unique. I've started this manga after i've seen a picture with those two on facebook and i really liked the art, especially Shizuma with that red hair he looks so good. I noticed its related with the parent story "Secret XXX" so i read that one first (i recommend you guys to do the same).

Story: I liked how it actually had so much story in it and it connected with the previous manga in such a nice way (also it was pretty funny). It contains "hot" scenes (not so many as in other manga tho) and each one of them is really well made.

It's a really interesting story (mostly because of the characters, not really of the storyline) even though it's quite unpopular. We have two fairly different characters. Shizuma had been living a peaceful life with his really likeable girlfriend, until they had broken up. On one morning some days later, Shizuna woke up next to a stranger, Minato, and it seemed they had... let's say "an interesting night together" in case children are reading this, but Shizuna didn't remember anything.
