now it seems less worse than season 2, besides that, the fight between Garou and the two monsters (I think they are monsters) appeared, that is, that PV was animated from the anime and not a pre-animated PV (there is still a chance that the PV of Garou's fight was pre-animated but had its storyboard copied by the same animator and used in the anime).

My expectation remains that it will be less worse than season 2, not that this is difficult of course.

Things are slowly unraveling. Before it was "Season 3 is doomed" to now "Art and compositing looks good"
Huge roller coaster of emotions I'm seeing here. But I still don't support those toxic pieces of pricks who take things to a personal level and spew insults/cause harassments to the staff working here.... Even though I still keep zero expectations from this season.

The scene of Genos and King "standing up" at 0:17 gives me chills but overall it looks good and everything is indicating that the "good scenes" from the pre-animated PV will be made in the anime which is great.

Power Point Man incoming, I hope to be proved wrong. Btw why are the people who cope hard are the terminally online ones who look for efriends in anime communities? Maybe get a life and let people complain when they feel dissapointed and I'm not saying that harrasing the production team its OK but saying stuff like "hentai director with no good track record probably means that this season is going to be shit" isnt harrasing, no one is a prick for being dissapointed at their favorite series being mismanaged.

It seems like the only things that people can be dissapointed is anime releasing in batches instead of weekly, I guess people with no life get sad when they cant engage in discussions without other people about cartoons, instead of complaining about things like the quality of the stuff they consume

The wait and see approach is the best, and the roller coaster has been as it should be, amusing, many clowns on the ride. Also agree it has been taken too far, those who find it easy to cast judgement, find it hard to take. That’s why they have to paint their smiles 🤡

@GabiiNova Well, if you want to talk about whether something is good or bad, it depends on taste or the comparison between productions. For example, speaking about my taste, season 2 was bad or mediocre, between a 3 and 5.

Now, if we compare it with season 1, season 2 was a solid 2 or maybe a 1.

Now, if I want to evaluate season 2 objectively, using technical parameters to evaluate the production as a whole, leaving aside my personal opinion and also the comparisons, season 2 was objectively bad, I think it would be a 4 out of 10.

(I'm not saying you can't like it or find it good, I also like anime that are objectively bad.)

Edit: and if we compare it to tbate, season 2 of OPM would be a 6 or maybe a 7.

More characters were introduced and the story (appropriately for its genre) moved forward, we got Garou and the good comedy continued👍 It's an action comedy so what exactly are you expecting? It executed exactly what it is with good artwork and animation. Again it's an action comedy...

S3 seems to fix the art problem, the characters look awesome

The art is not consistant in alot if not all of top anime but it's consistant enough to where it's not so obvious. You'de really have to be analyzing it to point that out which the average viewer is not. I just rewatched s2 and there is alot of cuts where the characters look awesome with alot of detail, gradients of shading etc. and then, yes, there are cuts where characters don't look as polished but we're talking about cuts that last for a second or two. And the blurry fights are battles that aren't that relevant or they are in the middle of a fight where speed is just being conveyed. You just gotta consider how hard keeping a high level of consistency is while animating and understand what the series is...it's called One Punch Man, it's an action comedy...plus look at all the good fights where animation and artwork was really well done...Genos vs Speed O Sonic (a short speedy one but intensity was well conveyed), Garou vs heroes, Garou vs Genos, Garou vs Bang (a good moment), Genos vs Centichoro. Suiryu intro, fight and development was good and tied into the comedy. Alot of really good animation and artwork.

If you understand how an anime is produced you'de see that objectively for an action comedy it is well produced. Are there cuts where quality drops? Yes, of course but I could comb through any top anime and spot cuts where quality drops (Ufotable with F/SN UBW might be an exception along with a few others). Now, if we are getting blurry fights (though not the most relevent fights) in Chainsaw Man or JJK for example then that's objectively unacceptable due to the tone of those series. It's common in the animation industry for quality to drop in cuts due to how meticulous the work is. If you're going to be that critical on an action comedy then maybe that's a sign to start animating yourself. Please, remember this series is called One Punch Man...
