so thoughts? like are you expecting more 2d sakuga than season 1 or 2? or are you fine with more 3dcg this time?

we know 3dcg is not cheap but its use to speed up production and as solution to scarcity of talented animators like there is clearly lack of mecha animators this days so a lot of mecha anime use 3dcg

season 2 also had 3d works like background building's and vehicles, other things as well
but thing is!! is the characters are 3d or 2d tht's the only thing tht matters
and look at Dandadan it's mix of 3d n 2d artwork it looks excellent, if they do like it then it'll be good 👍

The 3D in Season 2 looked really good! I actually liked those sequences.
3D can fit in pretty well in OPM I'd done right but ofc many people just don't care or r aware nd think 3D=Bad

@giantpudding Yeah, because pulling up a random isolated character design from the anime definitely communicates anything about Shinpei Nagai's actual work on it.

Its not impossible to get a good cell shaded 3d action scene... Katainaka no Ossan has done this recently and it looks absolutely fantastic...

yeah definitely I've seen tht anime, all fights are really good, this is really good , i think they can do this kinda of stuff to all anime if they spend little bit money, they just removed some frames which was dragging .
