| I don't know how we have negative affinity. I like the fact they have K Project in their favorites. They have mostly anime in their favorites they enjoy and NOT because it's mainstream. They have Kuga in their favorites so i'm assuming they read/watch World Trigger. It's a hidden gem and deserves more praise. EDIT: You're right. It's no longer as hidden as before because people started to take note of it but it's still underrated. Its power system as well as employment of battle tactics and the character development throughout the show make it standout. If you look up the amount of people who watched beyond Season 1 then you will come to realize that most people don't make it past Season 1. So yes, it's underrated and still not widely known if we compare it to other shows who receive a higher rating and far more attention with less effort. Its popularity is hindered by the fact that Season 1 of World Trigger has over 70 episodes. There's a good reason most anime come only with 12/13 or 24 episodes. It's first and foremost to test the waters and see if there is any interest since the studios don't have infinite budget. On the other hand, it also helps casual viewers finish a show without investing too much time. World Trigger with its 73 episodes for a first season is a lot, most people don't even start the first Season due to its sheer amount of episodes. That would just mean a huge time investment which could be used elsewhere, on other shows with far less episodes and commitment. |
