| @Confused_100 Sure, it wasn't like that back then (Naruto had a lot of "quality" animation; Claymore, Magi, Soul Eater are incomplete adaptations, two of which have anime original endings; for example, Bleach having endless fillers, etc), but nowadays, battle shounen get good treatment. Bleach now has a high quality sequel, JJK despite MAPPA has great animation, and so does Demon Slayer (both get sequels announced shortly after the season ends); Same goes for Dandadan, Boku no Hero Academia and Fire Force. There are outliers for sure, but that's the standard treatment battle shounen get in the late 2010s and current decade. Also, One Piece has a remake in the making despite the source material still being incomplete. |

Many thousands of viewers are watching and enjoying this well above average anime. But one or two elitists aren’t satisfied so it has to be scrapped? Just don’t watch it if you don’t like it! Do I have to buy the comics because you had it stopped? Or can I continue watching it in the media of my choice? Glad MAL members have absolutely no influence on the Japanese entertainment industry…

Tbh, CSM situation was absolutely stupid. I don't think they could have done a better adaptation than what it was already but for some reason most of the people who have watched it, shat on it for fuck knows why (majority was japanese audience in fact).

The CSM Situation was because of the tone adaptation sucked… Do you even understand why they are changing the tone completely from the movie onwards where it doesn’t take itself way too seriously anymore? Do you even understand that CGI using for no reason was and still is bad? They even said “CGI is the future” only to get blown back and stop using it most of the time for JJK…
Now Sakamoto days isn’t above average with every episode it is getting worse than One punch man S2 and that’s saying something.

| Maybe people are desperately asking too much for the anime to be like SNK, JJK, or that mediocre anime that is DanDaDan. Now look, i'm not going to become neither some loser who don't give a damn about the animation nor will i ever become an "Animation Puritan/Expert". But do these people really believe that the animation is the only thing that matters in the anime like it's the most important aspect of the show/movie/OVA/special/whatever? Not every anime will be guaranteed that the animation will be on the same level as whatever popular anime they watch, these days. Money is tight and the Japanese cable networks can also be restricted, when it comes to the budget of the animation. Plus not every anime that does have "good" animation will turn out to be all that great. The show needs actual good writing, good story, good music and good characters to keep the anime afloat or atleast entertain the fans of the manga/light novels. After all, the writing is "The Heart" of anime, while the animation is "The Appearance/Look" of the animation. And if you don't have a good heart, then not everyone in the world's going to love you, no matter how gorgeous you look. That's the same case with me when watching DanDaDan for the first time. Yes. It has some of the most beautiful animation ever seen, but that's all the anime had to show. The rest is just plain boring with the most boring and uninteresting storytelling ever told and the characters are just as lovable as a wood plank. Flat, boring, annoying and all round just not interesting to learn, know or care about. |

@kihel You don't take into account that knowing that there is an anime that is unsatisfactory for a manga that you like when you can find many good and well animated adaptations (eg jjk, demon slayer, fire force...) still presents a strong feeling of stress and anger. The fact that some people like it does not make the anime good and manga readers are right to expect better treatment, but the fact that they made such a superficial work is really a sign of dissatisfaction and mockery, whoever allowed this should be fired.

I myself am a reader of this manga, but I did not expect better and higher quality animation for the anime being made before it was animated. I was hoping that a normal quality animation would be enough, not high quality, and that people would start reading the manga because of the anime. Nor have I ever considered what you call “Demon Slayer”, “JJK”, etc. to be excellent animation. Everyone has their own definition of excellent animation, and some people go out of their way to compare it to other works, while others don't. Also, if one were to say that the animation is so bad that the person who allowed it should be fired, then it would be the author of the manga who allowed it to be animated who would be the first to be fired. If you are very dissatisfied with the quality of the anime, but really want it to be improved and written better, it would be more meaningful if you had time to write comments here and direct your opinions about the points you want to see improved to the officials, and I think it is the fans of the work who can do that. Ummm...since neither your words nor what I want to convey can be translated neatly and I don't think I can write a clear sentence, there is no need for a reply. |

What works in manga won't always work in anime, yet so many sequences are just taken directly from the panels but with just the bare mininum added, which creates a situation where people have no other basis but to compare directly to the manga. That is just really basic storyboarding. |

| I swear, people's brains are so fried by animation that if something doesn't look like Fate or Kimetsu, they demand the anime be canceled. Does this series look perfect? No, but it's not even close to looking bad either. It's a solidly made anime that still looks better than most anime this season. This is currently a light, fairly generic, but enjoyable comedy. It is very possible that part two will look better. The preview looks promising. There is no need to make some drama. If Sakamoto looked like the second season of Tower of god or the last seasons of Nanatsu I would understand the outrage, but this doesn't look bad. This hate is very forced. |
