I can’t be the only one losing all interest i previously had OPM, right? Between already feeling like the quality of the story has dropped since the Monster Association arc, slow chapter releases and so many redraws i feel like One and Murata have completely killed the momentum of the series. I’m not very active within the OPM community so i dont really know if this is just what everyone feels like but i went from raving to friends about this being the best action manga publishing right now to considering dropping the series.

i defintely agree about the redraws. having to constantly change your memory about what’s canon and non-canon is a pain haha

I respect his will to improve stuff, but the pace is going slower than One Piece as this point. I think the creators are stumped on how to continue the story beyond the current arc the web manga has been on.
I think Mashle has took a lot of the ideas and leads in a direction with plot progression if you are looking for a series like it.

I’m tired of getting lost in whats redrawn and whats “new”. The previous arc is what has kept me involved so far but man am I struggling to keep up

I have no issues with the redraws. Honestly, I love everything OPM related.
You can think of the redraws chapters as OPM parallel universes since they can go interdimensional now.

there is no way holy shit, reading opm weekly is currently even worse, then reading the whole last arc of jjk weekly. all of the stupid redraws and cannon and non cannon stuff couldve been avoided if they just planned ahead of time

yeah i already lost interest after the garou fight ended. these redraws are just awful and keeping up with it has just become a chore, i wanna drop it but at the same time i wanna know how it goes on. just annoying what murata has done to a good series.

i didn't imagine agreeing with this but i do. imagine gege doing tons of redraws like this, he would've been crucified ages ago and any other manga would've been axed. lucky opm got tonari no young jump, and sad.

Now you see, I have no idea what you’re talking abt. Are the redraws canon, or is the webcomic? I lost all interest in OPM after season 1, season 2 I didn’t like so much. The Monster Association arc was nice, but apart from the Saitama Vs Garou fight, nothing rly felt up to the mark of the beginning. Saitama, to me, had been reduced to a gag character, his whole personality now is just “being strong”. The garou fight was good because Saitama was angry. He wasn’t super strong just cause he is, he was super strong because he was pissed during that fight. It’s not abt him being depressed abt his power anymore, the story is quite different from what it was. I feel like OPM should’ve ended earlier, but that’s just me. It’s not bad rn, it’s quite fun, but still underwhelming, nothing noteworthy happened.

The WebComic is the draft of the story. The Manga Chapters are first published online, but they may be redrawn, for the print edition which is the Canon version of the story.

It definitely messes with the momentum when the releases are slow and when they finally do come out its a redraw of something thats been redrew before

Its targeted to read it volume to volume. The online releases are just drafts. Be grateful that OPM has opportunity to change things than shonen weekly manga releases that tortures a lot of mangakas

Expect u won’t care about it when the manga is done. Do u think, just cause their was a long break in seasons for Mad men on twin peaks, this effects the pacing of the show?

The redraw of Flash and Sonic's back story (194.5 on most sites) was really good imo. I love this series and I doubt that I will ever put it down.

@24846 i get what you are saying, but the original author of Berserk literally died before he finished the manga. With 15-20 years of basically nothing happening before, I feel like he could have easily done it.
And the quality afterwards just isnt the same.

This was definitely the worst redraw ever, because it was already redrawn and then they axe an entire year of progres.. its insane

This is a crazy take lol. 15 years of nothing happening? Really?? The best moments in the manga (dreamscape chapters, blast of the astral world, ext) happened within the last 10 years 💀

And I feel the quality is still there with the new team. Particularly with the way they r exploring guts.

@24846 yeah, really. Compare it to literally the entirety of the manga which came before the boat ride.

guts has not even been a character in the manga for a year now, everything just happens around him while he does nothing.

I'm a hardcore OPM fan, but even I have to admit that I'm getting really fucking bored with the latest arc, it's a shitty arc, and the fact that we are getting so many fucking redraws makes it even worse.

Why does the shittiest arc get so many redraws? the story is moving at a snail's pace, it's barely getting anywhere due to the godawful redraws, we shouldn't even be getting these many redraws, the only reason we get it is that ONE and Murata are fucking it up and they are trying to fix it afterward, this is just poor planning from them, I hope they keep their shit together, I hate to see how one of my most beloved manga of all time degrades like this.

~Since I can't keep track of what chapter we are, because of so many redraws~

The redraw on chapter 201 was the best since now. I feel excited about One Punch Man again.

The chapter that was released 4/9/25 was legit. Reminded me more of the beginning of OPM. It was funny, progressed the plot, had good character interactions, and was drawn amazingly. I hope they get back to the regular story soon, as I want more progression, but I am not mad at this redraw whatsoever.

The latest redraw chapters have been gold! The redraw for 203 was fire, it really had the older OPM feel to it. I'm loving what Murata has been doing with the latest redraws and I'm happy that we should be caught up and getting some new content soon.

203 [redraw]

Finally this arc ended. I complained a lot about redraws but in the end it was a necessary evil. The chapters before the last redraws killed totally the enjoyment of the manga, at least for me. OPM used to be my favorite manga and I think the redraws of 201, 202 and 203 brought back the good pacing, humour and action the manga used to have.

Now we don't know where we're going but I hope the plot goes without needing more redraws. I'm sure the manga lost some fans while other patient people like me waited and hoped for the best. I admire Murata as an Illustrator but I HONESTLY HOPE the manga goes following the web-comic or at least by ONE's direction. I remember some years ago how I was excited by the serious table-flip in the manga because that totally blew my mind in the web-comic. When the manga went on a direction that the Garou fight ended without the serious table-flip showed I was so mad. The redraw came in the following chapter, but things like this are a huge turn-off.

Imagine my horror when I kept it aside for a year for the sake of binging and there was literally nothing new 😭 Perfectionism is alright, but they have little regard for the regular manga readers.

I'm a reader of berserk, hxh, frieren etc so I'm more or less used to waiting for new content. But I must agree a lot of the redraws didn't seemed necessary when OPM already have peak art style. It adds confusion and leaves less time to work on new content for the author. My biggest complain about this series currently would be the lack of new content in every chapter. So little happens in every chapter but the solution is also simple. If you can't stand the pacing just come back after a few years and boom you'll have a lot of new content. Which I usually do with OPM manga
