Oda has a serious problem with the deaths in this manga, it's not possible that most of the characters survive, now even from the flashbacks they don't even die anymore, how is it possible that Sauro is alive when they told you he was dead? I mean, come on, you're only creating gigantic inconsistencies and plot holes for me ☠️ |

Sauro’s death has always been a big problem for Kuzan’s character. He would have been just an hypocrite if he had really killed Sauro, so I’m glad Oda revealed he was still alive. There was a plot hole before that revelation. Beside this, Oda’s changing and many more characters are dying lately. That was an old problem. Now, this is totally personal but I like the way almost no one dies at the beginning so that when Ace really does it hits even harder 🙈 |

To be fair there was no concrete reason to believe Saul had died; he was frozen by Aokiji, who was his friend. Common sense would tell you that Aokiji didn't go all-out against someone he cared about, and besides we know that getting frozen by Aokiji isn't a death sentence anyway since Luffy, Robin, Doflamingo and other characters survived the same fate too. |

No one "told you" that he was dead. Robin thought he was. That's different. So no, it's not inconsistency and not a plot hole. And it's not really a problem. People die, but not everyone which is the normal approach. We are talking about pretty strong characters here. How can we believe that they are strong if they die from everything? |

Yeah I know, that’s why I prefer when less characters used to die (this sound so odd lol) They had more screen time and more impact because they were fewer, but now I feel the same. I’ve always liked Izo but he didn’t have much scree time and died totally randomly. I’ve been thinking he had survived until the newspaper officially stated his death. Same for Ashura. Even if I quite liked the character his death didn’t mean much to me… Anyway, the majority of fans prefer this way 🤷🏻♂️ It’s not a big deal if there’ll still be impactful deaths too imo |

But my main point is that in every translation I've seen it's still vague enough given the tone of the story overall that it doesn't feel TOO unreasonable to say he's alive. Fakeout deaths do tend to be a problem but I don't think this one is really close to pell level at all and overall makes sense that Kuzan wouldn't use lethal force since they were close, it even heavily mirrors Kizaru in recent chapters |

@HINIX What are you talking about, do you read the manga or watch one piece in the reels? Sauro was not his best friend and he spared Robin mainly because in addition to Sauro's sacrifice there was also the intervention of Akainu who killed innocent people... also Aokiji is not a good guy, but just a marine with a moral, he does not hesitate to send the cp9 against the mugiwara thinking that they would have no chance against them and giving Spandam the opportunity to implement a buster call on them, he spares Robin and Luffy because he is indebted to Garp and says so, he challenges Akainu because he was also a candidate for grand admiral he didn't want to be under the orders of what he considers a madman, he saves Smoker's life because as he himself said Smoker is his friend... but why do I have to explain these things to you? Not to mention that the fact that she didn't kill Sauro creates a giant plot hole in One Piece, lol |

@Leon888 "The Ohara wasn't completely gone" refers to Robin. "You are carrying Ohara with you and if you keep moving forward, Ohara won't ever truely die". This called encouragement. As for Saul, if he mentions it, then Robin could stuck in the past and could have started to search for him, instead of moving forward. It is also possible that Aokiji thought that Saul was dead. It was also pointed out by Chopper that they could actually die if you let them stay in ice. It is pretty pathetic that you talking about how I don't think, while even fail to at least try to think through why would Aokiji does certain things. @Leon888 Please, learn to speak English. It's embarrassing to read your comments. It is a commons theme or more like how people works that they can "stuck" in the past if there's even a single straw that connects them to their past. Like a person, for example Saul. And btw, in Robin's case, it is pretty believable. Her whole arc was about this. That's why Robin without a single word followed CP9, because she didn't think about her future, because she thought she's not allowed to have a future. It is pretty simple, even a 12 year old could have understood it. I don't know how you missed it. It's pretty embarrassing for you. |
