How does death work in this world. From what I've seen they seem pretty chill about Laios's sister being eaten by the dragon. Marcille also brought up the idea of reviving the corpse she stumbled upon, and if I'm correct I heard her say she died from slime before? I'm just confused by the rules of this world.

It's just episode 1 so wait till they explain things? They won't just spoonfeed you with every info from the getgo.

It's just personal for everyone. I don't need to be spoonfooded about how this world works etc. from the very beginning, but in my opinion they could say at least a few words why the MC cares about what food he will eat on lunch instead of thinking how to hurry and save his sister, which will most likely die if a dragon digests it(as I could hear they don't have healer which can resurrect people from someone's poop and also they didn't know how much time it takes for dragon to digest food before dwarf told them).

Why the mc cares about food? Cause they need to eat to survive. If they don't live how will they save his sister? Their entire party was wiped out cause they lost food supply and were hungry. What's so hard to understand about this?

Also the concept of life and death is one of the core part of the series hence I replied as I did.

I didn't say I don't understand smth (moreover I didn't ask you to explain me it). All I wanted to say that explanation about resurrection stuff would nicely fit in the first episode and it should have been done.

You said they could explain why the mc cares about what he is gonna eat for lunch instead of saving his sister. I simply answered why he's doing that. Also you said you don't need to be spoonfed how the world works but then went onto saying they should have explained how death works in the first episode anyways contradicting your previous statement.

By saying it, I meant that they should explain how death and resurrection works, so noone would wonder why is he acting so calm.

So where's exactly a contradiction? Or describing resurrection mechanics means the whole world explanation? Since they had already shown it, why not to explain it? So viewers like me or that guy who made a discussion wouldn't try to guess what's happening. Also I said that "I" don't need an explanation, so how does exactly it contradicts my words that they should explain it in first episode for better understanding for everyone?

How the concept of life and death work is part of the world building and no they don't need to explain it in episode 1 as it's nothing confusing if you've consumed any media with revive in it which most anime fans have.

Anyway I don't want to pointlessly argue more, just watch the anime patiently or don't if you can't be patient.

I'm trying to avoid that genre or put it off until later just because of cases like this.

Apart from that resurrection stuff it looks decent, so I definitely will.

I had the same questions honestly so happy someone else started this thread. I also felt like the MC's sense of urgency around lunch versus his sister possibly dying didn't add up until reviving the dead came up later in the episode. Sure it hinted at it, but what really had me obsessive was how Marcille reacted to suffocating as she seemed more inconvenienced that actually worried for her life.

The main character at one point said "There's that person who once revived someone from shreds, right?". That gives us enough information to know that death is not a real issue in this world (but digestion is an issue since they haven't heard of anyone being revived from poop). We were even told that dragons have slow digestion. That is plenty of detail regarding this topic for the first episode. That said, I do agree that they really don't seem to be in a particular hurry, despite apparently not having time to go to a restaurant instead of having to kill and cook their own food.

Slight spoilers.

It's only in the dungeon where you can be revived.
