I thought it was really cool and unique considering it’s a romance anime. The details are phenomenal and the camera angles really kept me hooked while watching. You can tell they went all out for the show which is a breath of fresh air for the genre considering a lot of romance anime’s have poor-decentish animation. Can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!

I instantly knew it was the same Studio as Hand Shakers...
Making me dizzy in the first few minutes, but it is nicely animated

I like it, I think that it will take a few episodes to form a full opinion, but I like the direction and I'm always up for the anime industry trying out different things.

Rather than the camera angle, the gamelike visual presentation goes hard here ❤️ and ofc her hair 🖤

I like it as well, for some reason it makes their interactions funnier. The manga has very simple art, so having this much motion in their scenes was honestly a pleasant surprise

Hopefully, the downward camera POV doesn't appear more than needed. If it's only one scene, its okay, but if it's used too much, it will just lose its charm

The best I've ever seen. Beats the hell out of MAPPA and Ufotable. I thought Makoto Shinkai directed this for a minute.

I mean it is fine when the scene is stationary but the first minutes when everyone was walking it felt as if you are driving in cinematic mode in GTA San Andreas, it just randomly switches to the worst possible angles. And all this moving of the camera angle makes the walking animations look really bad, it's as if everyone has shit their pants. But otherwise the character designs are really nice. Hope the camera angles and walking animations aren't that prevalent later on in the series. The story looks promising, I thought about reading the manga, but I wanted to see how the anime is doing first.

Guess I am an odd one out here. I hated it. It's so unnecessary and to me it doesn't even look good as the animations often looks very stiff and janky when they do it. Plus, they are overusing extreme angles for no reason. Usually things like that are done to set the tone for a scene, but here ... it's like they just learned how to do it, and got overly excited about it and just used it everywhere, or like they are trying to show off or something. Sometimes less is more.

Really not a fan of a lot of the first few minutes, it felt a bit uncanny to me and strange. Otherwise I don't really have any issues with the rest of the more static 2D and 3D stuff.

Terrible. I don't like the adaptation in general. It feels a bit off compared to the manga for several reasons but the camera angles are the worst part about it.

Didn't like at all this cliché direction and graphical choices made. I find the animation very average and these uncanny camera angles completely showboating.
It looks like an episode directed by a shoot-them-up game designer. But with a 20 years old 3D.
I like the manga, it's quite charming, but won't watch this, they're just going to turn it into a very vanilla romcom.

I find the awkward angles distracting. Whenever one happens, all I can think of is film theory, but I see no meaning in these shots. It just looks funny without a purpose.

Everything that's good is good only in moderation. It sucks, because I think the animation is great, and this crap detracts so much from it.

Classic GoHands, can't go 3 minutes without doing a goofy shot. I'm surprised they could control themselves and not make the screen a constant rainbow.

Weird but passable. I'm not sure that it suits for a slice-of-life romantic comedy though

You put it very well. Seems to be the case with this anime. This is a clear drop for me.

The camera angles were weird at times. Like when Komura was walking and the camera was following him from the low angle, it felt like his legs were huge compared to his body. Just need to get used to this I guess...

Aside from maybe 1-2 scenes I really really like it, I don't understand people saying it's nauseating, like wtf?

The first 3 minutes looked amazing.

It's exactly the first 3 minutes for me that are nauseating. To be honest, I even got a headache.. There's just too much (unnatural) camera movement. I guess this style is just not for me.

Kinda looks off putting to me compared to the usual
Humans only live for a hundred years, it is as unreal as a dream that ends in an instant. What is the point of a person living in this world? No more than just being on a journey, and witnessing interesting things. Although I do not want to die, I do not fear death. I am already on my right path, I have no regrets even if I die.

It was jarring enough that after the intro shots i had to pause it and see how long they spent on weird camera angles for no reason. What an unnecessary three minutes. Hopefully they calm down a little for future episodes

I honestly don't really like if it will be used on many other series it but as something unique for this series, I am willing to accept it as an artistic flair. I think it should be used sparingly. Just the same as over use of rotoscope would be evil. lol.

If you have never watched anime from GoHands, don't worry. The weird camera angle is only present for a few minutes in episode one; the rest will have a normal camera angle. GoHands often uses unusual camera angles for the opening for episode one

I'm finding it to be quite off-putting. Some of the zoom-in's look good, but the way everyone kind of slides around like paper dolls definitely does not. And they definitely overdid the whole wide-angle shot effect.

I mean only the first few minutes had the weird camera angles, and tbh I didn't really mind it. The rest of the episode felt normal, so I don't understand some comments making it seem like the whole episode was filled with those weird camera angles.

I am a fan personally, yeah some of the shots like the ones under their feet walking are kinda odd but it makes the style really unique and distinctive to me. A lot of rom-com anime similar to this one just get standard animation like kubo or aharen san and thats boring to me

It's good that someone is trying something wildly different, but this isn't for me, the people look like 2D cut outs in a 3D world when the camera moves.

After giving it lots of consideration, I finally decided to watch it, and boom, the camera angles and the animation proved to be a great experience for me. The whole episode got me hooked so hard, and knowing the studio GoHands, they really created an impressive first episode for a school life-romance genre anime. The CGI use was also nicely done. The characters movements feel so smooth too.
Lastly, the voice acting of Ai Mie (Shion-san's voice) really suits her perfectly; she did a great job there.

Awkward shots and incosistencies in the animation were acceptable to me, but dear god this directing is so bland and uninspired it's painful to watch. There's nothing smooth in these transitions and the pacing all over the place, how could they nail the aethetic so good but completely fail to put it all together?

Some angles are alright but the angles from the ground? Not a fan of that and the panning gives motion sickness and feels very distracting, I believe the animation would be better without it as a romance. I haven't watched Hand shakers like a lot of people commented here or anything else from gohands other than Seitokai Yakuindomo, but pretty sure this was just normal animation. Overall, i think it's an interesting approach and some angles look nice, backgrounds too and the lighting is done amazingly well, so it's not all doom and gloom for me, for now.
