So, I know this is going to be a difficult find, and I doubt anyone here is versed enough in manga to point me in the right direction (have had no luck so far), but I'm keen on something with the struggle between light and dark. Kingdom Hearts, Star Wars, things like that. I'm fine with other forms of media as well but didn't want to clutter up the forum with different threads. If anyone can find me something like this, preferably in the 'action' or 'adventure' genres, I'd much appreciate it.

I've tried searching it myself, but all I get are fan works of popular already-existing things, or, articles about black and white manga artistry. Haha. Pls help!

Not that hard, some manga deal directly into that idea of "clear difference" between sides and one is evil, the other is good:
Rave Master (This type of shounen the closest to Star Wars you can really get)
Saint Seiya Lost Canvas (Other saint seiya series might fit too, Seintia Shou for example)

Kingdom hearts has mangas too!!!

I think you are not after the ones where the protagonist himself is caught into that struggle:
Bleach, Psyren, 666 Satan, Blue Dragon Ral Grado

You are also not after stuff where their powers aren't very light side and dark side right or there is no clear antagonist faction, right?
Soul eater, Gundam, Slayers, Densetsu no yuusha no densetsu, Chrono Crusade, Tenchi Muiyo, ...

You're right. It's not that hard, it's significantly hard. If you were to type in "things like x", you'd get something in the same genre, which would be countless works of media. Or, something with a similar setup. Let's say you want "things like Kingdom Hearts", well, the range of recommendations begin at "this manga is about magic" to "this is an anime about a teen kid who saves the world"--literally every anime made after 2002. Technically, every anime ever if you go back to Dragon Ball (kid Goku fighting King Piccolo).

I suppose if I say to give this trope page a visit, it would point the recommendations in the right direction.

Well, it's no manga, but this is basically what you want https://myanimelist.net/anime/272/Noir

Houseki no Kuni
totally. This anime lives and breathes all kinds of metaphors and symbolisms. Sun-Moon, Flesh-Stone, Night-Day, Water-Land... Has plenty of action and at some point has fantasy-adventure-vibes.

I guess I'll just have to accept that my tastes are too peculiar to be replicated in my particular hobbies. Neither of those are even remotely close to what my link suggested. Sigh.

You gotta be trolling. The link you posted is interpretable in thousands of ways, it establishes so many different meanings for the light-dark dichotomy, that literally every recommendation made in this thread totally fits the link and your request. Maybe you need to make an effort, to specify what you _actually_ want.

I read the tropes, I am sorry I was not able to cast a light upon your shadows.
I won't pretend you are trolling for not checking any of the recommendations and saying none of those got you satisfied.

I thought a lot you should read Monochrome Factor, Berserk and Precure, and wait until you finish both of them before engaging further contact.

Why is it that when people say stupid things and are made aware of their mistakes, they revert to the "YoU mUsT bE Tr0LLiNg" rhetoric? Maybe do some soul-searching and find that your ego is the problem. I get that you don't like being wrong--nobody does--but that isn't my problem. Your options are to 1) accept being wrong or 2) correct yourself so that you're right. Neither of which should be terribly difficult.

I could do that, yes. Much the same, you could also abstain from giving me commands or stay out of my threads. That way, you don't have to worry about further contact being engaged! Everybody wins!

Read Yu☆Gi☆Oh! dude, I promise you it's good and so much zetta better than frickin' Kingdom Hearts.

Though there are a ton of KH manga/light novels to read if you really want 'em.

Why would those be my options, when you are the one that told me, that I am wrong, but didnt provide any explanation to why am I wrong. At the same time, every person with 2 or more brain cells would agree, that most recommendations fit the description you gave.

Yea. I dont think I'm wrong in the context of this thread. I think you failed to express what you are actually looking for. And you get angry, because you are used to people catering to your cutesy feelings.

True. But seeing as how you are a product of inbreeding, you would, naturally, pretend you actually answered the request so that you can give yourself a pat on the back, so that when your mother comes to your basement lair to give you a ribbing for not finding work for the third year in a row, you can tell her to lay off, because you've won internet points!

Get a life, and don't reply to my threads again.
