-Assassination Classroom

First anime I cried for was SAO. That scene where the girl hummed a Christmas song for Kirito after she died destroyed me as a little kid.

I’m still yet to cry, but the shows that got me closest were Fumetsu No Anata, Re:Zero, and World End.

I agree. I’m not the biggest fan of SAO right now, but when I watched the first season as a new anime fan, it was amazing, that scene especially.

It would probably be Assassination Classroom. At the time I had been taking a class for future teachers and was taking a break from writing my teaching statement. I was absolutely loving the show and the final role call destroyed me.

First time I cried at an anime was in the late eps of fairy tail the final season when I thought ichiya died, man tried to sacrifice himself for the good of the world, a true MAAANNNNNNN✨.

And then in manga it was dragon ball Z during the end of the cell saga when goku sacrificed himself to save earth from cells self destruction.

I guess I just get very emotional when people sacrifice then selves.

But I would say the most emotional I have been in a anime/manga was ether fire force chapter 272 ( if you know you know) or chapter 54 of blue flag. People disliked the ending for blue flag but I basically couldn’t function properly after the last chapter, it was just beautiful in the direction and meaning of the whole series. Truly the zenith of the medium. Wish it had more love and appreciation 🙏🙏

Nah I’ve never actually had tears roll down. I get the weird feeling in my eyes that you get before tears start developing like pretty often though if I’m watching a really depressing anime. I teared up during Naruto’s reaction to major Naruto Shippuden spoiler
since I was depressed af at that time, and that was honestly very well executed. It just means you’re less sensitive and probably pretty apathetic. I think there’s a problem if you just never tear up at all and don’t have that weird feeling in your eyes, but you’ve teared up before, so that’s fine, I’d think

Attack on titan. When Eren said: "If we kill every last one of our enemies out there will we finally be free then?" This moment is literally made me cry. The culmination of the story, the feeling when the characters came to what they were going to all the time, but at the same time, they were still far from what they wanted, or rather, they no longer understood what they wanted

wait for chapter 131 lol (probably one of the first scenes they’ll show in the movie/episode 1 if it’ll be a series), that chapter was on a different level of depression

Strangely, "IRL" I almost never cry about anything, but when I'm watching some anime or other stuff, I'm a little bitch and its not even that uncommon to shed a tear, lol. As others have said, After Story was hard, but it wasn't the first time. 5 cm per Second also hit me pretty good when I saw that for the first time.
