[Prediction] Adapted chapters

Since there’s a lot of talk about how much of the arc they’re gonna adapt, here’s my predictions for each episode assuming the episodes count will be the same as S1. I am more than likely wrong. Things get quite messy and hard to adapt after episode 9, so yeah. Here’s my two cents as to what we can expect more or less.

Episode 1 - Chapter 39 (44 pages)
Episode 2 - Chapters 40, 41 (55 pages)
Episode 3 - Chapters 42, 42.5 (48 pages)
Episode 4 - Chapters 43, 44 (59 pages)
Episode 5 - Chapters 45, 46.1 (57 pages)
Episode 6 - Chapters 46.2, 47 (38 pages)
Episode 7 - Chapters 48, 49 (60 pages) [30 minutes]
Episode 8 - Chapters 50, 51 (77 pages) [30 minutes]
Episode 9 - Chapters 51.5, 52 (44 pages)
Episode 10 - Chapters 53, 54 (till page 22) (52 pages)
Episode 11 - Chapters 54 (after page 22), 55 (50 pages)
Episode 12 - Chapters 56, 57 (63 pages)
Episode 13 - Chapters 58, 59, 60 (83 pages) [40 minutes]

Maybe movie 4 for either the fight with faputa or the back story of the layer. But the fight wouldn’t make sense if it was before the backstory

well they already showed scenes from the backstory in the teaser, so it's safe to assume everything up to Vol. 8 is going to be adapted, I'm guessing they'll adapt vol. 9 too since it's the climax, the question is if they adapt vol. 10 that ends the arc.

I don't think they are going to adapt vol 10. It's too much... Unless they make at least 20 episodes or they divide this season in 2 parts.
I believe that they are going to adapt vol 6,7,8 and maybe a quarter or half of vol 9.
Then rest should be adapted in a movie

Edit: I forgot to mention that there are same side stories (one was already adapted in s1: chapter 42). Maybe they could adapt these side stories in special episodes/ ovas.

This wouldn’t mean rushing it. Would it be a lil fast paced? Sure. But bear in mind that this is literally normal pacing for a standard anime.

I think since 123 was season 1 and 45 was movie, it makes a lot of sense to do 678 season 2 and 910 for movie 👍

When you think about it, it's actually crazy how long it took for one arc of the manga to end, with now the probability of this season adapting all the chapters till the latest one out.

I guess a benefit to that would be that it would allow Tukushi to get more chapters out by the time a movie airs?

But tbh, I much prefer that they just adapt everything up to and including chapter 60, to get the season a nice sense of closure.

then...the wait begins until 2027-2028 when we get season 3....

Saw something on Reddit a while back that was very similar to this. Pretty solid prediction, I'd say! I hope you're right. In particular, I hope they don't rush the flashback and that they don't rely on CGI for some of these animals. Tbh, the crazy beasts of the sixth layer being CGI-ed is a big concern for me...but then again, they did just find without CGI for the previous layers' beasts, so hopefully it should be fine.

I cannot see that happening, thankfully. Major reason being that the manga isn't concluded, unlike TPN. Never say never, but I think you can put this fear to rest! ; )

lol, yeah, but I mean it was only 1 episode off from total count. Like I mentioned in the other thread, I'm okay with them intermixing the Ganja and main cast story arcs as long as they handle it smartly and give us double length episodes. It's a gamble but if pulled off well it could be a brilliant strategy.
