| Well It's nothing complex nor special but what's captivating about this series is that it fills with some wholesomeness and action-packed in one standalone story that's something rare in a fiction. |
| It wasn't meant to be complex and not every story needs to be! As a manga it's a kind of unique one imo, which you don't read every day, set during Cold war about an unorthodox family hiding dangerous secrets from each other. One would think it's serious af but in reality it's just wholesome! And it gets better, author blends action and comedy with some drama really well! |
| Its wholesome, cute, enjoyable, funny with nice characters. It doesn't need to be complex. |

| I don't think it's necessary for a series to have a good and complex story to be good honestly. It's entertaining and cute, and I just enjoy it as it's a good slice of life type of series. |

[/q So, I do not agree that everything is overrated I think there are plenty of anime and manga which do not fall into that category in my opinion. However, I do agree with your point that overhyped does not mean bad like the example you mentioned with JJK which I do believe is a good series but is somewhat overhyped. Also, you are correct in the fact that since similar to Chainsaw Man and JJK, Spy x Family could become overrated due to how valuable the series is. I was just making the point that I do not see Spy x Family as a great manga, but rather a good one which I do somewhat enjoy reading. Although, I keep seeing people call it a great series which I personally disagree with this opinion with all due respect. Ah I see where you're coming from and that's why opinions remain subjective nowadays, like it or not, the best or not the best, that's on you :) |
