| Not sure if bow and arrow can fall under 'gun', but I'd like to mention Ukyou from Dr. Stone. Not gonna say he's better than Duke Togo or the likes, but he's worth a mention. Richard Riesman from Appare-Ranman too. And I'm guessing you're talking about real guns, so no one from Yu Yu Hakusho or Madoka, right? Inferno cop's also pretty good with a gun. Also Shiki from Kara no Kyoukai. The protag from 'World's finest assassin' is also pretty strong. All in all, the only candidate for best gunman I have is Juuzou Inui, if he sounts. Of what I've seen of Jigen, he's strong, but not strong enough to be the best in anime history. Haven't seen your other choices. |
| GOLGO 13 (Duke Togo) for Gunman/Sniper/Assassin/Mercenary. Hands down. He takes a contract that once taken is honored, bangs some hot broad before the job... gets his nut off... gets to where he needs to go... then ZERO EMOTIONS, he fucking does the job ONE SHOT, ONE KILL, No Exceptions with this rifle. If with a handgun, in a world of semi auto pistols and fully auto pistols and what not... homeboy pulls out a snub nose .357 Magnum revolver and puts fools in a wooden coat.   |
| It is undoubtly Ryo Saeba. Since none of the tension in the show relies on Saeba potentially losing, the author was free to give him not just hollywoodian shooting skills, but straight up magical gun skills. He's the OPM of pistoleros. Any comparison with others is moot, his power is cranked up to 11 for comical purposes. |

| Duke Togo is the OG for sure and so is Jigen, but what I really love about Wolfwood is that he's the inspiration for Brandon Heat. When it comes to rifles, Golgo 13 is the winner. Capable of effectively firing with M-16s which are considered mediocre compared to the modern AK-103 by most gun owners. |

And the other reason is that REVY is damn good, but doesn't quite have the expertise that GOLGO 13 or Ryo Saeba have. Those two are depicted as damn near super human with their abilities. I'd say Revy is probably the best "quasi realistically portrayed" as she's good but still can mess up. And that's not a bad thing. |
