cloverworks is known by the anime community for making bad anime adaptations (i.e., TPN season 2, horimiya, WEP). did clover adapt this well?

Cloverworks has made more good anime than bad, and usually when it is bad it’s because of a production committee, not the studio.

That not even present in webmanga. The only cut in anime are the misunderstandings arcs and im sad the sports fest which I hope for 2cours but the manga is ending so they adapt the highlights of Horimiya which is good animated

If you count all of those romantic parts skipped in all Episodes , it definitely does not adds up to just "cutting the dragging chapters".

And how can you say that it's a good adaptation , if just after you say that it adapted the highlights of it ?
It got a beautiful Art/Animation , good OSTs , it's a good Anime with good romance , but from an adaptation point , it's average.

+ It's a complete short romance Anime , so it's true that it can be easily apprecied.
Yet , when you see how the score plunged and how the Manga was/is loved , it could definitely have easily got a way better score if they didn't cutted out multiples chapters. (+Fixing the pacing)

Yes because highlights are in line on webmanga that adapts in manga the dragged are not present webmanga even the ending is the as the webmanga to manga. Just the dragged parts are unnecessary in whole story because of side characters in the end are under developed. And they added some weird Characterization on Hori and the main couple are always side tracked in their story.

Even the manga score is falling too. Just the ending is underwhelming. The pacing after binging is not an issue now because you can control the paced versus waiting for weekly release. Thats why this anime has very good rewatch and binging value

It's smalls moments like that that makes a Rom-com Manga an actual Rom-com , and not just Rom-drama. (At least for me...)



The Anime is an adaptation of the Manga , not the web one , so it shouldn't even be compared. (+There is the OVAs)
Like most people , i didn't touched the Webmanga , so i won't talk more about it.

But does an adaptation that takes only the good parts of a work , ignoring the average/bad ones , makes it a good adaptation ?
I personally don't think so , but maybe it's just me.



True , even the Manga is falling , mostly because of the dragging chapters past 60/70.
Since the Anime skipped those , it should have been better received by the fans , yet , since they skipped so much non-dragging content , we , not happy. =(

My main problem in the pacing of the Anime is those cut/transition in-episode , between chapters.
Dunno if it's just me again , but it was so damn weird/tiring to watch.

Overall , i like the Anime , but i'd re-read/recommend the Manga everytime over re-watching/recommending his adaptation.

the confession is romantic and highlight of the anime. So giving some rings is nice but the christmas vibe and asking for marriage is better (at least for me)

Yea thats why but the manga is a adaption of webmanga like OPM and MP100 they just copy it and give great artstyle, but in Horimiya case they added some chapters to milked thats why manga readers dropped the manga because of dragged and no development to main cast even supporting cast.

Yea I know im sad that sports not animated. Hoping 2cour to it to adapt it greatly

True , but both is even better.
Especially when the ring present is in the beginning and the marriage proposal at the end of the story , with a lot of events in between.



True , the Manga is then an average/bad adaptation of the Webmanga.
But the Anime is an adaptation of the Manga , and it's an average one.



Now that the Anime adapted the ending , there is no way we'll get a 2nd Season , or even an OVA. (The Webmanga OVAs could still get more episodes tho , even if i don't know with what they could bundle it.)
