It might be canon. I’d say it might mostly depend on whether or not it could fit in the main story’s timeline. I’ve read the manga and so far I can kinda see where this movie might take place. Obviously I won’t say due to spoilers.

It looks like its not canon but this isn't manga material, and it looks just like the 7 deadly sins from this current season( characters ).

Yes this film is canon the author in interviews has already confirmed, everything that happens here will impact the in Nanatsu no Taizai story or in the new Nakaba story The 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse

Escanor’s presence in the film raises some questions like how?
Because we know what happened to him in the end. Then how is he in the film?

Yes, it is canon, it tells what happens after the fourth season, although I think it is in the span of 10 years

No, it isn't canon. Nakaba isn't even credited beyond "original creator", which was what he had been credited as last movie and that's always used when the mangaka has no actual involvement in the movies, so that's a hard give-away to this not being canon.

basically this ^

I don't think it's canon since both Zeldris and Escanor are on the poster so that would mean they're both in the movie, but that can't be the case because of what happened in season 4 unless both of them being on the poster is a big jebait

Pretty sure Escanor on the poster is a jebait. Escanor is the only person on the poster who's darkened out, and the only time he appears in any of the trailers is seemingly in a flashback / recap, alongside King in his child form.

Most likely is that the movie is canon and is set between 344/345

So many people assuming things because of this or that... the OC asked for a clear answer, not your supposition

Yes. It is canon. Nakaba literally drew all of the story boarding panels and this includes Diane and Kings wedding, Mel and Ellie's honeymoon (both of which are canon events in the manga), Mel & Zel bonding etc.

Basically this movie is to fit things into the end of the series that Nakaba couldn't with the ending of the manga.

Yes it is fully canon just like the first movie, Cursed by Light takes place a few days after the ending of the main story and it is focused on the Supreme Deity's storyline conclusion, Escanor is only in the cover and in flashbacks but not in the story itself, he basically appears mainly for marketing reasons, while both Meliodas and Zeldris are there because they take a few days break with Elizabeth and Gelda to explore the state of the realms before returning to their family and royal duties.

Actually it is officialy canon, Escanor is not there himself, he is just in the cover and flashbacks, and the series is not over, it continues even after the movie with Four Knights of the Apocalypse, but even if it did not continue it is still normal to have a movie after the ending in big shounen, like Naruto had Naruto the Last movie long before Boruto had began and Dragon Ball GT had A Hero's Legacy.
