Ok so. Armin. Best boy Armin. Anyone notice how big his Colossal Titan is?? Colossal is supposed to be only 60 meters tall. My boy looking at least 2x bigger. It was the same in the manga.

No spoilers please but... Do y’all think it’s a result of 4 years of constant Titan training? Or was it just dramatic effect by Isayama? Discuss best boy’s best Titan.

I’m wondering why he was able to wipe out all of that, and when Bertolt did his thing with the vapor it didn’t burn the ground at all. I’m sure Bertolt would’ve gone as all out as Armin did to protect reiner back there

Yeah maybe he didn't go all out cause of reiner but I also think that it can be attributed to the fact not all the titan shifters are able to get the best out of their titan powers. Look at jaw for example, there's no comparison between ymir's and porco's jaws. Porco's jaw is way better than ymir. It may be because of the training but it could also be part of their will and resolve. I think armin has a stronger resolve and will power and accepted his powers to a higher degree than berthold so that might be the reason why his nuke is more powerful than berthold's, it is not to say that berthold was a weak colossal, it seems he's better than the previous shifter too as implied in ep 3 where they said this generation of shifters surpassed their previous generation by a lot.

Plus

1. He transformed in water. This basically caused all the water to superheat and generate “steam explosions”. With such a massive explosion to begin with, it created an even bigger explosion.

2. There was an entire fleet in the water.

So you have Armin’s initial explosion + steam explosion + oil on the ships

Armin is definitely compensating for something with his big ass titan.

Different factors come into play. Water being present there is huge because of boiling water vapor just spreading throughout the coast. One thing that I think makes the biggest difference is training. Armin probably had these 4 years to train with using the Colossal. Just like Porco with the Jaw. You can tell Porco is much better because of the fact that he’s trained in battle with his Jaw.

There were two main reasons why berthold didn't nuke with his titan.

1. He was close to the walls so a heavy explossion could damage the walls awakening in the best case scenario at least dozens collosal titans if not hundreds making all his mission a failure.

2. Eren was near, killing eren would mean that the mission would fail since they would not be able to retrieve the titan and this power would end in a random eldian so they would need to start searching again.

Maybe it's to match his colossal...
