There's a huge difference between voluntary and involuntary social events though xD
Of course. Nobody would be doing this if they didn't like it, and if it's just some kind of cold and dead feeling machine-like atmosphere then it'd hardly be any fun. Because we don't really know eachother outside of it. There's also people of all ages, ranging from toddlers all the way to people in their 80s. I used to see some of them weekly during archery practice before, but I no longer do that. Aside from that it would be possible to get more involved with the rest of the process though, like the design phase, building, the party and the occasional group events they have where they for example go to the pool and what not :3
Because as you know I'm not that keen on dem parties. If I actually drank beer it might have been different though :3

Yeah, gameplay mods that made the game so much harder that vanilla seemed more like a kinetic novel in comparison (VNs with a linear story that you can't change/fail with choices) :P

What if you still enjoy it though despite being involuntary? xD
So basically you could do more with those people, but choose not to. Maybe you should pick up archery again, that seems to be a fun hobby :3
Such parties can be fun without beer as well though, I don't always drink at such occasions either ^^

I don't get what you wanna tell me here. That actually changes way more about the game than what I did :P

Then there's still the same difference xD
Basically. Besides, it would be weird at best to have me do any welding :3
It was a fun hobby to be sure, but in the end it was just me left together with children and the trainers which removed most of the fun :3
I don't really participate in the parties though, I'm just there :P

The difference is that you made a mistake and used the console to undo your mistake, whereas I made the game more difficult. Had I taken a mod that actually made the game easier then that'd be a cheat. Changing combat so that there's something more to it than just mindlessly hitting the target in front of you and hoping that you can outlast your opponent would be an example that can make the game quite a bit more challenging :3

But being forced to something you enjoy is certainly more pleasant, is it not? xD
Maybe you'd like it though, I enjoyed welding in the professional school back then ^^
Hmm similar to my table tennis experiences then, why does that bother you though? :3
Isn't that already enough to be "just there"? xD

I did not make a mistake, the game simply did not allow me to change my opinion. I don't think my request to switch the romance to Yennefer once I am able to play her quests is unreasonable. I basically changed the relationship, so I can switch at a later point, that might as well something that coudl be done with a mod and then it wouldn't count as cheating in your book :P

Of course, but it does not change the fact it's involuntary :3
I have 2 left hands so that doesn't seem like the best idea to me :3
Because in the end all you're doing with archery practice is shoot a target over and over again, which is fine, but if you don't have any friends there to talk with then it gets boring after a while :3
And where's the fun in just being present and nothing more? xD

Even a love story is written a certain way and you're not meant to suddenly change sides just because it suits you. I mean, try doing that in a romance VN that usually does actually let you do that and you'll get a ticket straight for the bad ending 100% of the time :P

So you don't want people to force you to live a better life? :3
Maybe you have a hidden talent for some crafts? :3
Hmm I see, guess it's different from normal sports since you can't really compete against an opponent directly ^^
Watching the drunk people do dumb stuff? xD

That's the problem, the game already decided that I have to romance Triss or stay alone before I even had any meaningful interaction with Yennefer :P

What if I don't want a better life? xD
Yeah right, I can't even use a drill properly :P
I did participate in the occasional competition between guilds, and also once at a run archery competition, but during practice you just shoot at the target and that's it :3
What's the word in english... ehm... in german it's fremdschämen iirc. Know that word? xD

From what I know the game also gave you a choice between them once they were both introduced at some point :P

That would be a surprising twist and certainly not an opinion the normal human has xD
How about soldering? :3
You always just shoot at a target though, right? ^^
Of course I know that word, didn't know there isn't a synonym in other languages though... So it's like Schadenfreude? Why do foreigners only take negative words from German? xD

Depends if you mean with "introduced" that I know of their existences. There was no choice though :P

But we're weebs so perhaps we enjoy the weeb life? xD
I had that during highschool but only basic stuff and is useless in this case :3
Of course, but in a regular guild competition you actually have opponents as opposed to simple practice, and in the case of the run archery you have to *shock* run 10 laps and every lap you have to shoot 3 arrows, each on a different 25m (iirc) away small target and run an additional 100 or so penalty meters for each missed arrow... hitting the targets wasn't a problem, but the running part... dayem xD
The targets were similar to this (not exactly the same, they were green for example). When you hit the target it would fall backwards so you can easily tell you hit it, and you have to do so with each of the 3 targets, 1 arrow each :3

Well I never heard anyone actually use that word in dutch though. Here everyone just uses "plaatsvervangende schaamte" xD

That choice definitely exists though. Maybe you just cut that choice out for yourself by cheating your way out? :P

And that wasn't fun either? :3
Guess I'm not surprised that the running part was the hardest for you somehow ^^; But you were able to hit a target 25m away while running? That's impressive :o

Hmm I try to translate that... "Platzver...schwendene Scham"? xD

No, I reset my relationships just before getting the bad ending. If you tell both that you love them, you're screwed :P

So you're saying the weeb life isn't the perfect life? xD
It was alright. Certainly a lot better than metal working or whatever you'd call it in english :3
Of course it was. I never go running and then suddenly you have to run like 10km or however long it was with bow in hand. And no, not while running. At the end of the lap you have a number of ranges and you get to your range and shoot the targets at the end of said range, and then continue running. Ragged breathing doesn't make aiming steadily any easier though xD

Eeeh, let me think... would "Stellvertretender Scham" make sense to you? xD

So you were about to get the bad ending, which means you f*cked up somewhere, and you forcefully changed the outcome... sounds like a cheat to me :P

So how're you doing today? :3

Well... I don't wanna ruin your dreams xD
True, metal working was the worst though ^^
Oh I see, so it's similar to ski biathlon then. You should combine it instead with horse riding then, that would look much cooler :3

It does, though I wouldn't have guessed that xD

No I didn't fuck up, the game simply handled the romance choice badly. Not like the romance had any meaningful impact anyway in the end :P

Doing alright, someone was there to test my PC so I wasn't able to do much so far. Yesterday I simply watched more Bamboo Blade and Heavy Object and played some piano/guitar and that's about it. Bamboo Blade is quite funny :3

How about you?

Busy at work? For that long? Impossibru! xD
My job as a whole, I have my last free days until Tuesday, then my new job starts :3

Doing alright, I'll start taking Japanese lessons again starting today. I'm also currently watching Guilty Crown and Classroom of the elites. Both are kinda meh tbh ^^;
Else just the usual, have to go to my uncle's birthday today and tomorrow I have to bring our youngest cat to the vet :3

How about you?
Not sure how fast I'll replay since I'm on vacation right now though.

And what about you then? Do you think you'll be able to reply here as regularly again as before at your new job? xD
Looking forward to it? :3

Guilty Crown? That one has a pretty neat OP :3
Yeah, birthdays as usual :3

Doing fine I guess. Finished a few airing anime recently (including the dumbbell one), played some piano, had a birthday party to attend, had some other events going on and I also read a bunch of WN chapters like "watashi, nouryoku wa heikinchi de tte itta yo ne?", "Kenshi wo mezashite nyuugaku shita no ni mahou tekisei 9999 nan desu kedo" and "Erikusa no izumi no mizu wo nonde sodatta murabito" :3

Dunno, if I had to guess I would say yes. But I guess I'll see soon ^^
Looking forward to 2 hours more time every weekday after work at least. I hope the new job is cool as well :3

It does indeed, the first OP at least. The second one is not that amazing :3
The characters are nothing special though, don't really care for anyone of them xD

If not then this place really will die xD
You picked the job yourself so it should be, right? :3

I don't even remember what the second opening was :3
What about the dodgy shots some of them get? xD

Hmmm, among the ones I'm watching/have watched that started this season I'd say the best one is vinland saga and in second place would surprisingly enough be dumbbell :3
Nah, from those 3 only the first one is an isekai. The second one is a generic school life action medieval fantasy with an OP loli as MC. It's not that interesting. The pic is of the third one which is an adventure medieval fantasy with an elf as the MC who ventures out into the human world for the first time with her warped standards :3
Have you gotten so used to isekai stories that you can't even imagine a normal fantasy story anymore? :P

More or less, I think that I actually applied for another job that was already gone though. So they actually aproached me in a sense ^^

Not surprised by that, just something I have heard in 20 other anime before :3
You mean Inori above all I assume? Meh, not really care about that emotionless type too much ^^

Not surprised about Vinland Saga, was pretty hyped and it's by Wit. Dumbbell being second place for someone like you though is indeed surprising. Is it because of that muscular dude? ;P
That second one doesn't sound generic at all since the genres are all mashed together xD
Nah, that picture just looked very isekai-ish, I still prefer normal fantasy stories as well :P

Maybe, but if we're no longer here to reanimate it everytime then who will? xD
Maybe they were just that impressed with your application? :3

The first OP also has plenty of piano covers :3
Actually I was more thinking of Tsugumi and Ayase here :3

Yeah. The MC is a pretty annoying with his edgy personality which reminds me a bit of sasuke, but hey, it also has a character like Thorkell which is good fun :3

Nah, it's the comedy. The girls go train at a new gym full of comically buff macho men that worship muscles (including the trainer) and they are constantly in the straight man role at the ridiculousness of those guys and their muscles. One of the girls is basically the typical pervy friend that the MC always has in dem ecchi harem anime, but in this case has a serious muscle fetish. It also has various references ^^

The only "unique" part is the OP MC is a loli xD
Because it's the cover pic of a fantasy LN which generally tend to look like that :P

No one? Neko chat will just completely continue to live in Discord then ^^
Pretty much, they meant I fit their profile really well :3

I can imagine, haven't heard any of those so far though. Listened to it twice in the car today already though :3
You mean in their skin-tight closing? Yeah, but I'm not into that ^^

Don't know anything about characters other than the MC tbh. He's edgy though? I thought he would be another Eren ^^

Seems to be a great show anyway, the characters seem fun, the comedy good and it has some nice fanservice. Definitely looking forward to this once the BDs are out :3

And that's more a minus than a plus in my book xD
I slowly run out of good fantasy anime to watch somehow, they should adapt more of those :3

But I'm not talking about the discord group here :3
That's a nice compliment then at least :3

Oh, sounds like you've got a busy vacation if you've already spent enough time in the car to listen to the same song twice... unless of course you listened to it twice in a row? :3
But it's still fanservice even if you're not a fan of it :3

As if Eren doesn't have an annoying edgy personality too with his eternal angry screaming and desire for revenge :3

Oh it has fanservice alright. But would you believe me if I told you the men actually have more fanservice than the girls? xD

Well at least it's different for once compared to the OP male MCs that all have the same face xD
Too bad all we're gonna get are more isekai ones though :P
Heikinchi that I mentioned in that list however will get an anime next season so that could possibly be a fun one to watch... however, while the WN was good fun as an adventure medieval fantasy, it did unfortunately still have some unnecessary scifi elements to it which is disappointing. And it seems like it's gonna devolve into either some kind of monster vs robot war or into some kind of skynet situation, but that's just what I think, and god I hope I'm wrong on that one... but at least the anime will never get anywhere near that point anyways. The anime might not even get to any of the scifi events anyways. Not expecting much from the studio anyway though :3

But that seems to be the inevitable evolution of the neko chat :3
Only if they actually searched for someone competent though xD

Listened to it twice in a row indeed, just when nihongo ni ikimashita ^^
I guess, but that's not really ecchi. You can find that in almost any normal anime :3

In the latest season not anymore, he got some character development going on :3

Somehow I have no problem believing you, though it depends how you define manservice. I assume just them being shirtless is enough? ^^

I guess, no potato MC is actually a selling point these days xD
Well at least I enjoy isekai more than sci-fi and mecha :P
Ah yeah, I've seen that anime in the news discussion. It has sci-fi elements, really? Wouldn't have thought from the picture alone :o
Hmm studio Project No. 9... They did a good job with Netoge, so not all hope is lost :§

Konnichiwa~ :3

I'm doing alright, the job is not that exciting unfortunately. I'm also not sure if they are more strict with me using the internet for my private stuff xD
I don't think I'll do this job for very long, maybe not even the first six months. Though it's only my third day today, so I'll wait a bit longer until my final decision ^^

Weekend was pretty nice, were eating Japanese on Saturday, watched "The life of Brian" and played some billard with a friend. Anime-wise I'm watching the second sesaon of Spice and Wolf and started the lewd Nanatsu no Taizai anime. Both are average to meh so far xD

How are you doing? :3

That's unfortunate. So if you decide you'll quit, what then do you plan on doing? :3

At least you watched a fun movie :3
But you rated nanatsu no taizai a 3 so far, right? In what universe is that average? xD

Doing fine I guess. Finished reading koushaku reijou no tashinami last week, also assembled the new pc parts this weekend. Still need to get a dvd player from somewhere and then I can test if the thing works or not. It would be nice if it worked properly on the first try xD
Aside from that I played some piano and also started shinchou yuusha. Could be a pretty interesting watch :3

Hm apply somewhere else of course. Maybe my old job I had before I moved to Munich xD

Been a while since I had watched that one yeah, so a weird and funny one ^^
The 5/10 for Spice and Wolf is the average part, 3/10 is more like "meh" xD

What new PC parts? :o
Shinchou yuusha looks interesting indeed, saw a GIF from it where he literally destroys a slime xD

So does that mean you didn't quit that job back then because you didn't like it? xD

Yeah, a nice type of really corny comedy :3
Sounds more like a pretty horrible rating rather than a meh one xD

Hmm, all the new parts. I wonder in what kind of shape the thermal paste is though considering how much trouble I had with the dayem cpu cooler because of my two left hands though :3
Destroy being an understatement. He blasted it with enough power to possible disintegrate a giant, and did that like what, 100 times? Better safe than sorry, right? xD

Let's say it wasn't that bad looking back now, I could do my Java stuff and still was able to chat on MAL xD

Some jokes are just obviously bad... or maybe that's just the German translation ^^;
It is quite horrible indeed, not even the fanservice is that good :3

Is that your new Ryzen CPU? I thought you had gotten that some time ago :3
It is the greatest case of "Just to make sure..." I've seen in anime so far and I loved it xD

I wonder what they'd say if you come back? xD

You watched it in german? Then that's probably it :3
That's why I told you before not to get your hopes up about its fanservice :3

Indeed it is. But no, like I said before I hadn't upgraded my cpu at all since I got my pc in 2013 :3
Not to forget his leveling up 15 levels through locking himself up in his room doing muscle training all day for a week instead of actually saving the world like he should xD
It's quite ironic though how I was browsing through novelupdates a while back and now multiple novels I came across are getting an anime adaptation, that one included... but no, I haven't read it :3

Dunno, I told them that I quit because I move to Munich ^^

Yeah, I have too many friends who are not fans of the English language :3
Hey, it certainly looked the part though. Even though I knew that it would be mostly lesbian fanservice which I dont like that much :3

I still thought you already had that CPU lying around for quite some time now ^^
Sounds like Saitama level of training to me, no wonder he's that strong xD
And a lot of isekai anime at that I bet? Still such a popular genre :3

Well, as long as you don't suddenly return to the job you just quit xD

But you have seen it in english at least once before, right? :3
Looked the part... I never liked the looks of the udders in that anime though :P

Nope. If anything it's the cpu I had to wait on :3
I mean, I don't know how doing push ups and the like will help you perform such powerful magic, but sure xD
If you look at novelupdates there seems to be quite the massive number of isekai novels in recent times, yeah :3

Nah, I can do fine without that huge way to work again... coming home before 6PM is nice at least xD

I think I only watched it once before overall and that was in German as well, yes :3
Nah, reminds me of Seikon no Qwaser when it comes to that. Just doesn't look very appealing :P

Nice, I would love to buy a new graphics card as well... if only I'd need it ^^
Strong body equals strong mind? People in movies sometimes say that xD

Of course, but what would your colleagues there say if you came back so quickly? xD

Then you should give it a try in english. Should make more sense that way... though I'm not sure if making sense is something that you can say about monty python :3
This looks even worse than Seikon no Qwaser :P

There's also plenty of people who buy new ones all the time despite not needing one :3
Couldn't you say he already has a strong mind though, considering how cautious he is of absolutely anything and everything? xD

They actually encouraged me to come back if I don't like it, so I'm not sure xD

Hmm maybe some day, not in the mood to watch it again so fast already :3
Well the animation certainly got much worse after a few episodes, so I kinda agree with you :P

Indeed, there are also people who buy cars worth 100.000 bucks, not sure I wanna do that either though xD
Not sure if that's considered strong or weak though, at least he seems to underestimate himself a lot ^^
I rather watch a bad isekai anime than a bad mecha anime though :3

Doing alright, unsuccessfully tried to hunt Mewtu yesterday in Pokemon Go with some friends. Else I finished Spice and Wolf II and watched more Nanatsu no Taizai. I need something good to start today after two meh shows now ^^

Are they perhaps expecting that to be the case? xD

Was the song at the end also dubbed? :3
So you liked it better at the beginning? :P

Rather than not sure I'd say it's pretty sure, no? xD
Instead of underestimating himself he just overestimates everything else and is suspicious of everything. Like how he didn't want to take a cute gift from a little girl saying it could've been cursed. Or when the goddess made him onigiri he didn't eat them so she asked why and he was like "they might be poisoned". Then she angrily puts one in her mouth to prove it's not poisoned, and he just looks at her "it might be a slow acting poison" xD
That depends on just how bad they are. If I had to choose between saijaku muhai bahamut (bad mecha) and arifureta shokugyou, death march, isekai smartphone or hyakuren no haou then I'll without a doubt choose the mecha :3

Do you have anything in mind to watch next? :3

Doing fine I guess. Yesterday I just read some Jashin average which is a pretty interesting story, though not great, and that was about it :3
Not sure what I'll be doing today... I could read more of it, but I could also watch some airing anime, but I could also try and get a dvd player from somewhere, but I don't really feel like opening up a pc for it #lazy xD

Maybe, I mean my old job was really chill and my colleagues were nice. Hard to beat that xD

Oh no, that one was of course the original song. I don't even wanna imagine how that would sound translated ^^
Yeah the first few episodes were much better, now it's just crap :P

Cars? Definitely. Guitars or graphics cards? I try not to xD
I love that MC already, sounds a bit like Kazuma but just less of an asshole. Though you still haven't watched KonoSuba, so I'm not sure you know what I mean :3
Oh yeah, Bahamut was indeed horrible. Speaking of it, Arifureta gets another season apparently? :>

I might watch UQ Holder next, it's a sequel to a show I already watched and I tend to watch those first if I don't know what to watch next. Since Fairy Tail ended, I also wanted to start Groove Adventure Rave soon :3

Anything interesting apart from sequels and Shinchou Yuusha? :3
What do you even need a DVD player for? I don't miss that at all xD

Okaeri~ :3

And going back there in the first place wasn't an option? :3

Well, you never know with dem german dubs. I mean, the songs in those old cartoons and what not that I used to watch were also all dubbed :3
I already found it crap from the very start :P

With emphasis on try? xD
People seem to be comparing the anime to konosuba in the episode discussion so far, but yeah, I wouldn't know :3
Oh yeah, I saw that. And honestly, I don't know if I want to torture myself with another season of that >.<

You watched negima then? :3

Hmmm, I'm a little on the fence about ore wo suki na no wa omae dake ka yo and assassins pride which may or may not be interesting. Aside from that no guns life might turn out fun if it's madhouse. Aside from that it appears they skipped the entirety of volume 1 of heikinchi and inserted tons of nasty loli jokes and filler in ep 1 so that one might be pretty bad... and honzuki no gekokujou definitely has my interest. It's premise seemed pretty interesting when I found it on novelupdates, but that MAL rating is a bit worrying, but it might just be caused by the SoL aspect :3

I don't use it often, but I do still have a number of games on dvd, and I also have an anime dvd box set I have yet to watch :3

I thought it was not, but maybe I was just difficult back then and not my colleagues. I'm really thinking about applying there again, but I don't dare to tell that to my parents so far xD

Some openings were actually quite good in German, One Piece opening 1 was even better than the Japanese version :3

I had hopes that it would be similar to Bikini Warriors when it comes to comedy, unfortunately that didn't come true ^^;

Well I do own 8 guitars and one bass and already think about the next one, so clearly I failed when it comes to guitars xD
Maybe it's time to watch KonoSuba then, pratically as some kind of similar anime that aired before? :3
I guessed that would be your reaction, I rather have another season from that isekai mum as well ^^

I did indeed. The Xebec adaption was pure horseshit, the Shaft adaption was quite good though. Let's see where J.C.Staff ends up. Even though I watched Grand Order Lightroom today instead, so I guess I might start UQ Holder tomorrow after my Japanese lessons :3

Hmm you chose two anime with pretty unknown studios, sounds like hit-or-miss. I'm not as hyped about Madhouse anime anymore since they made Overlord 3 though xD
The premise of Honzuki sounds unique enough, I doubt it'll be my cup of tea though :3

I bet you could just download those anime and watch them without a DVD player as well :>

As I said I started UQ Holder last weekend, it's alright so far. I also started Shirobako which is fun. Reminds me a lot of New Game, maybe not quite as good so far ^^

Else I attended a birthday party on Saturday and played some age of wonders with a friend online on Friday :3

I'm doing fine too I guess. Had some belated birthday party visitors this weekend, read some more raw WNs, watched some weekly anime and yesterday I was messing around trying to install manjaro architect... wanted to try something a little different this time by using LVM on the root partition, but eh haven't had a success with that so far xD

Not for my birthday of course :3
It's a different manjaro installer. It's a TUI installer that allows you to do more minimalistic installations and decide what kernel you want to install and what not. The regular installer doesn't boot on my pc because of that AMD boot issue that existed in pre-5.3 kernels :3

You said that before too, but it's not so strange, is it? It's not like I'm anywhere near running out of anime to watch :3

I care about a lot of stuff I shouldn't care about unfortunately, though I guess I should care for my job a bit at least xD

Still a SoL anime with cute girls about anime production? Just seems sooo up your alley, though they might not be moe enough :3

And of your your presence was mandatory? ^^
Wasn't aware of any boot issues with AMD so far. Why does it have an old kernel though? :3

Sounds pretty important, yeah xD

As if there aren't others like that that I haven't watched yet either :3

Of course it was :3
Well, not sure which kernel versions were affected, but it had a few articles on phoronix. In my case it could also be the support for navi gpus which was only added in 5.3. Either way the default manjaro installation uses the 4.19 lts kernel :3
So I went with architect so I could at least choose the right kernel version... and then when I finally get to try and boot the installed os, I get a bunch of lvm related errors like mkdir failing because the /run/lvm directory already exists... annoying stuff :3
For those who seek perfection, there can be no rest on this side of the grave.
Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Though maybe the NEET life will choose me and a cute girl will come over to therapy me? xD

Which others are like that? :3

Oh you bought a navi card after all? Which one did you buy? :o
Hmm sounds like problems you would only get with customizing an installation... which I never did. Only changed the kernel in a running system so far ^^

Yeah sure, and you'll go mad with delusions of talking refridgerators etc in the meantime? xD

Haven't watched it, but surely there are others too right? :3

The rx 5700 xt :3
Yeah well, LVM is an option in the installer so I figured I might as well try it out as it would allow me to do things like mount the /var directory with different mount options, but then it goes and crash on me at boot ^^

Only before I waste all my money on some MMORPG xD

Like I said, New Game is the only one so far that's simlar. Maybe Mangaka-san to Assistant-san as well :3

Sapphire or PowerColor? :3
Why would you want to mount the /var directory with different mount options anyway? ^^

Yggdrassil? xD

Well either way the specific setting doesn't matter as long as it's fun :3

Neither, I went with the gigabyte one. It came out of the reviews well it seemed and was far cheaper than both the sapphire and powercolor cards which were way overpriced here. The pulse cost €490 and the red dragon was around €500 iirc ^^
It's fun to mess around with that kind of stuff when you can, no? And if you do that it's good for security too, even if it is relatively pointless on a desktop system :3
