| Hi all, Really like the medieval periods, such as the setting of Berserk, my favourite anime and manga. What are some good animes set in a historical medieval setting? Preferably something with adventure and action. Thanks |

| Both of those are fantasy, not even set into the medieval era of our real world. The problem with the historical genre on MAL that 95% of the series tagged as such is fantasy and sci-fi. What's the closest are: Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan - Tsuioku-hen Shigurui Saraiya Goyou Onihei Vinland Saga (not aired yet) All of these are historical fiction, but only Vinland Saga set in medieval Europe, it will have a lot of real life historical figures. |

These look really good, especially the first one. Thanks! I've read a little of Vinland Saga after I finished my first read of Berserk, however for some reason just trailed of reading it again. | Seirei no Moribito is definitely worth a watch. Though it's a fantasy it has many realistic moments. |
