| Back in the day NTR hate is mainly a Japanese thing and some Western fans tries to ship the MC's love interest with other male anime characters. Nowadays if you tried to pull that shit with much younger Western anime fans they would get pissed as much as the Japanese otakus and would rate these particular anime with very low ratings or drop it. I like how the Western anime fans has adapted to the Japanese tastes unlike the BS years ago when they think it's okay to ship the MC's love interest with another male side character. |
| "Starting" to? XD I will only ship this if I hate the canon ship. I mean, HATE it. But even if the author granted my wish at the last minute, it would feel too much like pandering if all they did up until that point was drop hints that were the exact opposite. The even bigger problem is, NTR can end up turning well-mannered characters into selfish assholes. I strongly disliked Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien because it really felt like NTR and I ended up hating both Bakayuki and Mitsuki because it just made them look stupid, irresponsible, and immature. Bad ship. |
