And it also seem like they will end it with

Pretty much everything I've wished for :)!

I'm pretty confident. The preview pictures ( not the video ) usually are in a chronological order. They also show a scene which is ~ 1-2 minute before the end and since we
I think it will end there.

I wouldn't really be too fast. They pretty much have to go with a good and intriguing ending point. Also there is a lot of world building in what will most likely be Episode 5 :).

Since episode 5 is titled "The promised morning that is far away" or something like that, so that would confirm the episode 4's ending, I think.

So far White Fox's pacing is good. Episode 1-3 (4 full length episodes) is arc 1 or volume 1. Episode 6 will still be in volume 2, so they're definitely not rushing yet.

So far there is absolutely no complaint. They pretty much adapted it one by one so far and it's extremely faithful to the source material.

We will have to wait until they've finished arc 2 or maybe halfway into arc 3 until we can say something specific about the pacing and how faithful it is.

ColdBreeze said:

Oh well, the title says it clearly, thanks for that. Looks like it will end that way. That's a really good cliffhanger btw.

Yes, honestly I hoped for that cliffhanger otherwise it might be "too lighthearted" for some and maybe some people get the idea that this turns into your usual fantasy harem comedy show after all.

Gladly there is this cliffhanger and episode 6 to slap some sense into them :D

Eh? Why would anyone state that to hate on Emilia? I know you probably like Takahashi Rie's voice (based on the Megumin signature and picture), but Rem really is the best girl.

Here's a poll result from Re:Zero Japanese wiki, out of 725 users, they chose

1. Rem
2. Subaru
3. Emilia
4. Beatrice
5. Wilhelm

Whoa that huge differences between the #1 and #2. She's really that special? I can't see the maid be that special. Especially since her twin is not even in top 5, I wonder if there will be a distinct different from those two. As from what I see in the PV, they're pretty much together.

Well I'm a pretty neutral person in general and after reading almost half of the 4th arc I'd say they Rem and Emilia are tied for me.

I can give you another poll if you want from Cupo.cc. Cupo.cc is a website for news/discussion.

This was the first poll saying "what are you expecting from Re:Zero?"

1. The ability of "return by death"
2. The good animation background such as the town.
3. Fascinating characters like Subaru and Emilia
4. Rem!!!!!! (highest vote!)
5. Seeing Subaru dies.

The second poll is saying "who's your favorite character?"

1. Subaru
2. Emilia
3. Puck
4. Felt
5. Rom
6. Reinhard
7. Rem!!! (highest vote again!)
8. Ram
9. Beatrice
10. Others (Like Roswaall)

Bah, I don't like the anime's version of Emilia's dress in this arc compared to manga and LN's version. Dunno why WF changed that, it was perfectly fine. =/

Besides that this moving a bit faster than I thought it based on episode summaries. Still should be a sold downtime episode.

Fine, fine. Time to bring out the big gun. I suppose you do know Twitter right? This is from the Twitter announcement back in December 2015, so of course, it's based on light novel/manga fans. The announcement was about the confirmation of each character's voice actor.

This is Rem's tweet with 659 likes

This is Emilia's tweet with 266 likes

This is Subaru's tweet with 185 likes

This is Felt's tweet with 153 likes

This is Ram's tweet with 294 likes

Twitter is a more official website right? And this is from an official account. Based on these tweets, Rem has 2x more likes than any of the characters' tweet. Just like the Re:Zero wikia japan.

Rem is simply the best girl.

She's not just any maid. Her personality and story is better than the rest of the girls. I wanted to show you a picture that I like, but then it would be a spoiler... gah. It's a spoiler based on episode 6/7, but I'm not gonna show you till then :3 I want it to be a surprise.

But here's a picture of Rem's exclusive limited edition set, as far as I know, no one else has a limited edition like Rem did (and yes, I already checked the whole 800 pictures promotion from the rezero_official twitter before)

By the way, Emilia's favorites was 0 and Rem's favorites was 2 before the anime started. Here's a proof from 23 March 2016 (which is 2 weeks before the anime aired).

I think the pacing would be rushed a bit. Let's use the manga's pacing, the anime would be:

Episode 1: chapter 1-5 (about 150 pages)
Episode 2: chapter 6-8 (about 90 pages)
Episode 3: chapter 9-11 (about 80 pages)

The ending that we want is on chapter 4 of dainishou (about 130 pages). Since we saw that night scene with Emilia and Subaru, then the end of that episode is confirmed to be that ending.

So White Fox could easily rearrange the setting of the anime's sequence or pretty much rushed it. Since the episode's title is called ロズワール団欒 or Roswaal's Gathering, they can cut those heavy dialogue scenes a little short.

For some reason, anime would never rush main character's scenes. So if White Fox decides to rush, then it'd be Ram/Rem scenes.

Hm...I'll call it rushed once they cut out content important for the plot or character development which I doubt they'll do. Since the early second arc contains sequences that aren't really relevant I think they can afford to speed it up a bit by cutting them short or out.

From the PV and the pictures I can see all the important scenes in there which means they've probably shortened the working montage or Rem/Ram scenes like you say so it should be fine without rushing :)

Hmm... from rereading the manga again, I don't see any training scenes in the first 4 chapters. The first two is straight forward talking with Roswaal and Emilia, chapter 3 is the cooking part and a whole lot of Rem/Ram scenes, and chapter 4 is talking with Emilia and that ending.

I don't remember if the novel had a training scenes too at the beginning. Please correct me if you know/remember :) but yeah, there are some irrelevant scenes.

Actually the funny things according to source readers if anything the manga's adaptation of the first arc is the one that is rushed. The anime included everything the manga cut out with only a few minor omissions. Anyway we have to see the episode itself to see how everything is adapted, but hopefully Roswaal's dinner have all the important bits if something indeed gets shortened.

Ya it gets rushed. Since there were scenes like Emilia's spirit calling that was removed. That's because the mangaka isdifferent. Which is why I said, I was using the manga's pacing, not the novel's pacing :3

Even the fighting scene in episode 3 is longer than chapter 9-11.

But there's still a possibility that it will be rushed. Since they're doing 4 days in one episode. Only tomorrow we'd know.

I was referring to the working montage how Subaru learns all kinds of things that has to be done in the mansion ( well you could call it training ). The novel actually went a more into detail with all the things he has to do at the mansion so the manga shortened it already a little bit.

I wouldn't take the manga as a reference though since the way it's shorten there and the way the anime cuts out certain scenes will be different. So far they've been absolutely faithful to the LN and the pacing was also great. I think they know what they're getting themselves into and how to handle it since they accepted to adapt this beast of a light novel.

Ya I shouldn't have. So if we were to use the novel's pacing:

Episode 1 ends around Satella telling him not to call him Satella. So that's the start of chapter 3 of novel 1.

Episode 2 ends exactly on chapter 4 of novel 1 with Emilia coming to the warehouse.

Episode 3 ends with chapter 5 and a considerably short epilogue.

If episode 4 ends with that ending, then it will exactly be on the end of chapter 2 of the second light novel. (which I believed is longer than any of the previous adaptations)

Episode 5 is titled "The promised morning that never come" or something, so that would start on chapter 3 of the second light novel.

Episode 6 is titled "The sound of Chains" that would start around chapter 4, since chapter 4 is where the sound of chains revealed and ended with that twist.

Correct me again if I'm wrong x_x

Ya I shouldn't have. So if we were to use the novel's pacing:

Episode 1 ends around Satella telling him not to call him Satella. So that's the start of chapter 3 of novel 1.

Episode 2 ends exactly on chapter 4 of novel 1 with Emilia coming to the warehouse.

Episode 3 ends with chapter 5 and a considerably short epilogue.

I've read through so many chapters in the third and fourth arc I don't have the early chapters in my head.

But that sounds about right. I think a 1-2 chapter per episode pace is absolutely okay and this shouldn't lead to any rushing while they still adapt the entirety of arc 3.

Hmm well, I think we will see it tomorrow. I guess they will shorten/cut things.

Well the scene itself happens later in the

But yeah, I'd imagine they just shorten a couple stuffs which is just fine as long as it gets the point across and doesn't adversely affect the story.

I'd imagine that they want to keep anime watchers on their toes, thus ending the episode with Subaru waking up.

I wonder if they'll cut the opening again though. There's a lot of content that's going into a single episode here.

I've been hearing a lot about Rem, is she as good as everyone said? Or is it some red herring to hate on Emilia?

Eh? Why would anyone state that to hate on Emilia? I know you probably like Takahashi Rie's voice (based on the Megumin signature and picture), but Rem really is the best girl.

Here's a poll result from Re:Zero Japanese wiki, out of 725 users, they chose

1. Rem
2. Subaru
3. Emilia
4. Beatrice
5. Wilhelm

Well... frankly speaking... Crusch Karsten is not the main girls of Re:Zero. My understanding of the main girls of Re:Zero is based on how much they're promoted and their roles throughout the series.
