Pretty interesting 1º episode, very comical :D. I wonder if the anime will take a serious approach or if it will be like "One Punch Man" and be just mostly comic relief.
Anyway i heard lots of goods things about the manga, so lets see how the next episodes will go ^^

So far it's ok ~
We are probably going to see a lot of heroes and comical heroes too... while we watch a powerless mc trying to become a hero .

I don't think it's will be like OPM , I mean , the mc's couldn't be more different ... but both have heroes and comedy '-'

Just because the mc's of both shows are very different doesn't mean that the overall way the story is presented wouldn't be similar.
Base on the 1º episode looks like this will be a show that is mostly comical relief, ofc it can change latter on but for now it looks very similar to OPM.

Well, as I said both have super heroes and comedy .. so there will be a lot of similar things since OPM was pretty much just those 2 things.

When I say it won't be like OPM is because we have a week MC this time, a kid that will go after his dream of becoming a super hero even not having any powers... probably we'll see him having a hard time and learning how to be strong and "what means to be a hero" , trusting in friends and all this kind of stuff... a bit more meaningful (in a way)
On the other hand on OPM we had sick villains destroying everything and stories that could be interesting and then BUM one punch , end , neeext ~
I'm not criticizing OPM (it was part of the comedy) , just saying I'm expecting it to be pretty different =x

My judgment was based only on the 1º episode, ofc a lot can change but base on this episode alone it looks like mostly a comic relief anime. :)

Nothing amazing about this series yet, but I thought the second episode especially showed a lot of promise.

I'm not a big fan of the MC so far (and I certainly don't think he's cute lol), he's just a bit too much of a whiny crybaby to me. On the other hand, I do love seeing lots of character growth in my anime, so he definitely has plenty of potential.

Anyway, I'm a big fan of superhero stuff so I'm sure I'll enjoy this series a bunch. Looking forward to the next episode.

Hmm a small time jump.
Interesting to know the source of All Might's power ... still it's pretty weird that he has to eat AM's dna =p

4 episodes in now and this anime is only getting better by the week, imo. It's not what I usually like to watch and it's pretty much harmless, but it's been fun so far, even though Midoriya whines too much.

I also like cartoonesque art style and the exaggerated expressions! ::)

Is little too convenient that All Might as this ability, still is better than the generic MC with a secretly powerful ability that he can control ^^

This 4 first episodes had been pretty good, i can see why the manga was being so praised :D

First day, it will be just an easygoing day.. not

wish we had seen more powers from the other students , still it was an interesting episode... i'm a bit worried that we are already on episode 5 and the anime has only 13 episodes... the way things are progressing it feels like it might be too short.

Yeah i'm concerned too, i'm liking the slow pace but i wonder if this will be only exposition and introduction :/

Wow this is probably my fav episode so far of Boku no Hero.
We got to know more about Bakugo and the "reason" to his anger, the fight scenes were amazing and it had a great conclusion.
Like i suspected it would be impossible for Izuku to win agains Bakugo with out "killing" him. Seeing how they win the activity was pretty cool ^^

we saw Kacchan's side of the story ... and he is pretty full of himself , i don't see him changing anytime soon.. i wonder if Deku will tell him the truth.
Pretty good conclusion too.

I'm curious to see the other heroes now.

Slow but interresting episode.

Did not expect Bakugo to react like that in the end :O Still is good that we got to see this side of him, he realized he is not the strongest of the class and will try to improve ^^
The Ice/Fire guy as a powerfull ability and looks like he is gona to be a major character.

I hope the show touches on how society is affected by the fact that everyone has superpowers... It must be pretty different. But then again, I also hope they don't try to make it too realistic.

I doubt the anime/manga will take a serious approach like that. It will be a simple shounen focus on heros and vilains from what i have heard.

Episode 8

Everybody expects Bakugo and/or Kakashi-Zangetsu sensei to turn heel and became motherfucking villains but that would be too obvious. Bakugo is gonna be a great vigilante Anti-Hero while Deku struggles to fit in his predecessors's role. So yeah... Batman vs Superman all over again. I kinda like this development and IMO the series could reach legendary status IF something unexpected happens.

Death flags for All Might in the PV. Maybe that will be the turning point. Who knows. I'm rooting for Ice guy deserting and forming a villain league due to Handyman killing off All Might. Maybe "class representative" Engine boy is gonna die too. He's funny. It's gonna be sad.

Ps. The Hand dude's design is amazing.
Ps2. Define "serious approach" please. "Serious" as in DCU's sense versus Marvel's?

@Nato__Ren When i said "serious approach" i was referring to the show diving more into how society has changed because of everyone having super powers, politics, increase of crimes, etc. (a bit like X-men)
Like i state to Mercy i dought the anime/manga would take this route and i dont think necessary need it for the main plot.

I knew there was someting special about frog-girl *^*

I mean, we were able to see how people are kinda segregated/discriminated depending on the powers they have (like deku having none)... there's a LOT of room there but that's not the focus of the anime

There are a thousand ways of approach topics. That's what I like the most about MHA. It's subtle enough without being unnecessarily pompous as DC comics' fanboys loves to point out when confronted by Marvel fans.

There has been social commentary. A lot. You have to read between lines. That's where lies the best content.

IMO it's mainly 'coz is a lot different for what we're accustomed to watch. And I'm not talking just about drawing archetypes (KyoAni/Shaft) but as you put it before: VISUALS.

TTGL is always a referential point about visuals 'coz they intended to do something different with the animation. And its legacy is the best proof. If we analyse this in detail we are able to see that some of Gainax' personnel have always been interested in revolutionary the industry as we can see in such works like THE NGE, TTGL and FLCL. Moreover, same people that worked in Gainax created Kill la Kill one of the most unique series in AESTHETICS terms we've seen. And sorry if I sound a little biased here but we're talking about the art of drawing right here NOT just the technical bullshit Japanese animators had been trying to pull off these past decade.

So yeah. Its visuals are great. It's cartoony 'coz it emulates western comicbook tradition. And I really appreciate that just as ONE's effort with One Punch Man.

Kinda slow episode.
We got good teamwork with Deku and Mineta at the end, not to mention some build up for some fights that might happen next week with the "main" villains.
Tsuyu is winning best girl contest with this episode ^-^ XD
We also got some characterization for Mineta... he is "okay" i guess. Just the comical pervert, not a big fan of him for now. Overall good episode just felted rather slow paced.
