Battle Royale has the government as the real enemy. Berserk has various antagonistical regimes and groups, from Ganishka's empire to the God Hand quintet and their master. Blade of the Immortal also has various antagonistic organizations. BLAME! puts Killy against the silicon lifeforms or whatever they're called. Death Note, with Kira and his supporters on the one side and the remaining anti Kira investigators on the other. Eden: It's an Endless World! has a wannabee world government which clashes with the protagonists, as well as a strange, transhumanistic alien crystal disease/lifeform. Fullmetal Alchemist has the Amestris military as a puppet for "Father" and his Homunculi. Trigun and Trigun Maximum has Knives and his lackeys as the main antagonists. |
