| Goddamn, that episode kicked ass! Seeing Ryouma, Hayato, and Benkei piloting the Getter was so satisfying and I couldn't help but smile seeing the crazy faces from the first two parts of the manga adapted almost perfectly here. Also the fact they made Benkei not only useful but badass too? Fucking love it. I absolutely adore how he took up the mantle from Musashi in a way that felt like both pilots were there in spirit. Such a step-up from his debut in Getter Robo G. And I'm definitely seeing a lot of where Gurren Lagann got it's inspiration from. I mean, no shit, Gurren Lagann takes tons of influence from Getter, but this episode in particular reminds me of TTGL near the end of the show. Love to see it. |
| Coolest episode so far and yeah seems like TTGL took inspiration from it for action lol. |
