| This episode wasn't as boring, yet I found it somewhat less memorable. I'm almost shocked that Junko figured out it was Ryouichi that raped her. Obviously the audience knows it's him because we're told so, and we can also see him as well as use the meta. However, from an in-universe perspective it's quite surprising. I think the writers were implying that because they've had sex before she would recognize it was him. But I still find that hard to believe. That's some serious Near-level plot convenience shit. My favorite scene is definitely Miki's reaction to the text. "That bastard!" The sex scenes, just like in the previous episode, felt very slow. But I don't think the rest of the episode was as bad as the previous one. The "threesome" was kinda dull (in my opinion), although I must admit, I was a little distracted when I was watching. The second best scene was definitely the one when Ryouichi and Junko kiss, a nice payoff is always apriciated. I'm a little dissapointed that nothing happened between Miki and her father, since that plot point was set up. But I guess by anime logic all the female characters must bend to the will of the bland male protagonist's penis. All in all I guess I enjoyed this series, though clearly not as much as most people ( which is fine). For me it was only a little above average. Tbh the art (and a few of the lines) is what saved it, as is often the case. |
