When u compare it to other live action movies such as Dragonball or Tekken, id say its pretty worth.
I watched it expecting a crap level such as the afore mentioned, but it surprised me on a positive level.
If ur expecting a top quality movie tho, this is not it :P
Also, fighting scenes are pretty good imo.

TL;DR - If ur a fan i think you will always enjoy watching it, the movie isnt that bad really, dont go expecting super quality tho.

It's definitely worth watching. It changed certain things that were in the anime but nonetheless it was good and entertaining. The guy who plays Kenshin in the movie to me did an outstanding job in portraying the character.

No it hasn't been released yet in the UK but according to Wikipedia there was a screening for it in the UK on October 4th 2013. Also " The film has been licensed for distribution in over 60 countries in Europe, Latin America and Asia." So in a few years it might be released in the UK.

i really liked it, because more than being an "live action" it was an adaptation, with actors not trying to look so irreal like in the anime

Excellently casted movie. Of course it is better than Dragon Ball Evolution if those are your expectations. I think the characters weren't utilized that well, especially Yahiko and Sano and they are my two favorite characters. I think the movie had much more potential but it works in its own ways. If you like Kenshin, Kaoru, and Megumi, this might be the movie for you. Most of my disappointment from the movie is mostly with Yahiko and Sano.

If Anji and Hiko are not in the next movie, I will totally give up on this franchise live action wise since Hiko is my favorite character.

I just also wish this movie also used the soundtrack from the anime series, specifically Heart of the Sword, one of the best anime songs of all time.
