Yeah, this is just a joke thread.

In Akikan, there is a conflict between steel drink cans and aluminum drink cans.

Which do you prefer?

Personally, I don't know the difference between steel and aluminum cans, so I'm copping out. *escapes*

Edit/ And this is not a question about steel or aluminum Akikan, but actual steel and aluminum drink cans. Then again, it can be both.

Steel cans haven't been used here in many, many years. Everything went aluminium in, hell. The early 90s at least. Well over a decade ago. Aluminium is more readily recyclable, plus is lighter for packaging and shipping etc.

When I watched this, I thought the premise was a little strange as I thought steel cans weren't used anywhere any more for the same reasons they were phased out here.

I'm with Asako about steel cans. I don't think I've ever had a steel canned beverage, so I'm going for what's common, aluminum.

Now if bottles were in play, that's another story. Bottles > cans.

If you go to the japanese import shops, many of those smaller energy drink style cans are steel. I think they're nicer to hold, since they don't flex so much.

Steel since aluminum leeches into the drink and aluminum accumulating in the brain is a major contributing factor in Alzheimer's disease.
