It's a different show. A different genre. Different characters. Different story. Literally, the mangaka is the same. Wow, amazing, how similar. If you like Gin no Saji as much as you say you do then let it be its own show and stop overshadowing it with FMA. It's never going to be respected if you just talk and talk about the mangaka's other works instead of concentrating on things like, I don't know, the storyline or something. I don't see why the mangaka even matters - just watch the anime.

you're right.
but sometimes it's reminds me of FMA.
the character art sometimes is similar.
i can see Komaba resemble Greed or Nishikawa resemble Kimblee.

You did exactly the opposite of what the OP said....

But yes to the OP I agree its annoying, not just this situation but when people go talk about other shows. It doesn't even have to be from the same mangaka, I hate it when people judge a show just for it being from a certain studio/director/etc... Its fine to get excited or worried if its a studio/director/etc that hasn't had a good record, but in the end a show should only be judged by the show itself, not by the studio/director/etc 's predecessors.(unless its a sequel/prequel). Don't let preconception cloud judgement. end rant/

Wow, I haven't read through any of the forums... But people are seriously comparing FMA with Silver Spoon? Wow. WOOOOOWW. That's like comparing apples to coat hangers. People read this description, "Yugo Hachiken dreams of life separated from his family, so he takes the initiative by enrolling in an agriculture school. He thinks, with his talent in studying, no problems will arise no matter what kind of school he attends. He is proven wrong very quickly. Raised as a city boy, he is forced to uncover the inconvenient truth about agricultural life. Enjoy the story of Hachiken, as he tries to keep up with his new friends, farmers' heirs, who are already accustomed to the harsh world of farming. With no clear goals or understanding of farming life, how will Hachiken survive this new, cruel reality? The story of a sweat, tear, and mud-stained youth begins!" and then they think, "OMG! Its gonna be like FMA!!" Come now, its an anime about farming and it is being compared to FMA? And No Sense was made today.

There is bound to be similarities in the art work of the characters.

Though its nice to see a different type of over the top reaction to tasting good food.
Rather then the normal ones.

» Do you think once veganism becomes the norm, this show will be viewed in a more negative light?
