| This was definitely one of my favorite chapters so far! It was really interesting to find out that Shin has a really relevant connection to the Doctors of the Magic User Victims Ward. He was pretty much the reason that Kaiman has a place to work at and he's also indirectly responsible for Nikaido being able to get that giant mushroom extracted from her safely. We even got to see a young Nikaido selling gyozas ♡ Shin's backstory made me like him a lot more and I can actually understand why he turned out to be a Magic User who despises the denizens of the Hole for the most part. His parents got killed by those zealot nutjobs and all he could use to fight back was a claw hammer. He's so badass, chopping his own arms off to make himself be able to use magic and that seemed to even impress Kasukabe. After getting stitched back up and showing off his impressively grotesque magic, I assume that was around the time he had met with Noi so he have his arms healed up. |
