| they got let down fast. I don't like the mianstiream idea either. seems Azuki is more into the smart mature category despite her earlier emails. I see him looking into a new editor though if possible as their goals conflict and hattori isn't interested in serializing them. his slow and steady approach doesn't match the super speed they want. |

| If mainstream is the key to open their dreams about popularity and that way to anime, the ultimate goal, then I'm more than ok with it. Let's hope they make up some nice twist to the new idea, so it wouldn't be something generic as Bleach or D.Gray-man. |

| I laughed so hard at page 12, when Mashiro was like, "Dude, the guy's swimming in money" and Akito replies, "It's ok. He loses it in 3 chapters." For some reason that and the funny drawing cracked me up. They should get some girl advice about what characters they like in manga. :) Edit: I also think they're kinda going about what they want to do in the wrong way. I mean, look at Eiji, he's not concerned about popularity, he just is obsessed with drawing manga. He loves it so much it just oozes out of his pores. I think our heroes need to tap into their love for manga more. |

| It was okay, but IMO the plot is starting to feel a bit samey samey.. Last page made me laugh though, with the 'if any environmentalists were here, they'll be pretty pissed off', I was thinking that in the panel before as they were chucking the pages in the water :P I also wonder whether someone will pick up one of the pages as some kinda plot development in the future, if they don't all get ruined by the water. |

| Going mainstream doesn't work, you get too obsessed over popularity polls and you make a good but not great manga. Still Japanese kids and women are not mature enough for their manga. |

| I wonder if the Japanese kids and women had something to do with there survey in Death Note!!! Hmmm it gets you to think that this chapter could have been what happened to them when they gave the editor a rough draft of Death Note. Only a thought. I liked the chapter but I wonder can they go mainstream I would rather them continue doing what makes them special and stick with "money and intelligence" type manga!!!! I love Bakuman |

Oh yea, it actually seems like the "main" characters are the bad ones because they're doing it all for fame, and while "enemy" is drawing manga just because he likes it.. |

Mmmm too bad they got third place,... I knew since the beginning that they wouldn't beat Nizuma but I never imagined they would be in that position at the end! Man that's so bad For Bakuman is still original for me... I also feel it's like the mangalas expression of life... of course with a li' bit of action added to make it more interesting hahahahaha.. Dunno if they could do a good work going mainstream... but if you want a express stardom well you gotta go to the basic things to hit the masses C'mon they shouldn't have trown away those chapters away.. they should've taken them to the study and save them for later... Hope their style improves so that they may have a chance to win against Eiji. Saiko throwing the names into the water looked cool. I wonder what would happen if an environmentalist really was there. Haha! |

| So they're selling out? lol I think Hattori knows best, but whatever they do, it should be what they're really passionate about. However, it seems like they just want to get a girl and get popular, so idk. Apparently they can make some really nice sophisticated stories though, so it'd be a real shame if that was compromised just for mainstream popularity. |

| Mashiro is rushing too much, with that kind of childish attitude they wont't be able to become number one anytime soon. I know that losing made them bitter, but I don't think going mainstream is the best choice for them. |
