NES was the first console my family owned. I still have the thing, and it sort of works still. We also had PCs though, so my time was split betwen the two.

First started gaming on my Dad's Atari 2600. Nothing was more enjoyable and fun then playing Space Invaders, Warlords, Defender, Asteroids... on and on the good Ol classics.

Next got a Game Gear (which i still have in perfect working condition) then a Sega Genesis which I loved dearly.

Finally moved to N64 which I believe is the greatest system Ever. LoZ OoT, Starfox 64, Super Mario 64, Smash Bros, Goldeneye... perfection in gaming.

Starcraft took over my life for 2 1/2 years followed by a year of diablo 2 and other pc games.

Picked up a PS2 and only really played GT3 for hundreds of hours. Then got a Wii and my roomates have a 360.

Also lots of Game boys scattered in there and the DS as well. I'd say I'm a well experienced gamer :)

Haha the first video game system I ever had was the first commercial system the Magnavox Odyssey. I enherited it from my dad and its funny how it works. Its got like to knobs on the sides and you turn them for games like pong, etc. Its great :D

Sega Genesis

It was my first and only console so far. It came with my grandma getting a magazin for one year. But I had only 2 games and I always thought that Nintendo makes better games than Sega.

Right after that came a 486 PC with DOS. :D

Never had any desire for a console again.

Used to play Atari at my cousin's house prior to getting it though.

my first was the nintendo 64, i have to admit i prefer some of the old style games like super mario to a few of the new games they are bringing out. The graphics were terrible but they were just so fun, although i guess i was only a kid at the time. I suppose nothin beats final fantasy games though.

My first console was the intellivision from mattel. Released in 1980 baby. That was a great console. It had little overlays that went on the controler key pad with functions unique to each game. Can't even remember most of the game names anymore just some of the game play.

Technically, the SNES. But before that, our family owned, in order: a TI-99, C64, Amiga, and various PC's.

Got into console gaming later than most, and still tend to prefer gaming on the PC.

Haha, wow.. this thread brings back some memories. The first game console I ever owned was the N64 - I remember receiving it for my birthday. I got the one that was bundled with the Star Wars Podracing game. I played countless games before over at friends' houses, but that was the first console system I ever owned myself. I loved that system.
