ADV has added the complete episode 1 of Welcome to the NHK to their free page. You can see it here.

You can still check out the official trailers for their other releases including Pumpkin Scissors, Gantz, Red Garden, Xenosaga, Utawarerumono, Air, Innocent Venus, 009-1 and more.

And yes, this is from ADV so it is the dubbed version. No arguments about sub vs. dub needed or wanted.

You can pre-order it through ADV (on special now for $19.99) but the official release of Volume 1 on October 2nd. Hope you can hold out till then.

I'm excited. I love this series. Definitely adding it to my collection. On site they have a quote of Protoculture Addicts, which read "You will see a part of yourself in it, and have lots of fun in the meantime!" and I know I really have had moments in my life where I felt like a NEET. A paranoid, recluse, hentai addict, indeed. ^_^

I'm the pickiest when it comes to dubs but I think this one doesn't seem too bad. I don't hate the voices and the VA's do seems to capture the emotion that is felt in the original Japanese. But having only seen one ep its not very telling of the whole show. There are many characters that don't show up for a while and I don't know how well they are done.

Its funny watching the trailer for the show, it seems like someone didn't watch the whole series. The trailer sums up the first episode but not much about the rest of the series. Maybe they really just don't want to give anything away.
