What do you think are some suitable comparisons for each character? Any NBA player from the past or present is allowed, but try to keep it to current players if possible.

Here are mine:

Seirin
Kuroko - Are you kidding me? Nobody.
Kagami - Josh Smith? Amare?
Hyuuga - Willie Green
Izuki - Earl Watson? Chris Duhon?
Mitobe - less skilled Greg Monroe. Kosta Koufos?
Koganei - Matt Barnes
Tsuchida - Shelden Williams

Kaijo
Kise - less skilled Rudy Gay
Kasamatsu - ??

Seiho
Tsugawa - Thabo Sefolosha without the jumpshot
Iwamura - Nikola Pekovic

Shutoku
Midorima - Steve Novak/Kyle Korver on crack
Takao - weaker Andre Miller
Ōtsubo - Al Jefferson with no midrange game

Touou
Daiki - a cross between Allen Iverson, Jason Williams, Rafer Alston, Dirk, and LeBron
Sakurai - Eddie House without the swagger
Wakamatsu - Samuel Dalembert
Imayoshi - ???

Others
Papa - Manute Bol

Seiren:

Kuroko - Kendall Marshall (pass-first, assists, weak scorer)
Kagami - Josh Smith (athleticism, vertical, shot-blocking, defense)
Hyuuga - Derek Fisher (clutch shooter, leadership)
Mitobe - Tim Duncan (stoic demeanor, good low post game)
Izuki - Rajon Rondo w/ lesser passing skills (court vision, directs other players)

Generation of Miracles:

Kise - ? (Tempted to say Kobe b/c he copies moves but he lacks the intensity)
Midorima - Stephen Curry(Shooting, what else lol?)
Aomine - Dwyane Wade (Handle, speed, circus shots, same height)

Kuroko- yeah I think of Steve Nash, but Nash is a very good shooter, so probably not
Kagami- Tyrus Thomas (this guy can jump, dunk, and play defense)
Aomine- Kobe, he ballhogs, scores like a boss, and has that attitude
Midorima- Jimmer Fredette, no way he's Ray Allen, Ray comes off screens and takes wise shots.

I like the Fish comparison but I don't think Mitobe can be compared to Timmy D. He's really only good at shooting over people with that hook shot.

Very true, Duncan has that wicked bank shot of his. Mitobe's personality sorta won over the comparison.

Are you sure about this? Larry Legend was a much, much more complete player than Midorima.

Kuroko - Steve Nash. Kuroko can't shoot but their passing game is amazing and they both can't play defense. They also are determinated but don't show it. Of course Kuroko's abilities are unique but his closest match would be Nash.

Kagami - Blake Griffin. Their jumping ability and amazing athleticism are similar and they are okay in other areas( although Kagami can block better while Griffin average about 1.5 steals a game which is unusual for a big men.) They are also redhead pf's.

Hyuuga - Ray Allen? I don't know a pure shooter who is known for it's leadership abilities

Izuki - See Kuroko

Mitobe - Ömer Aşık. They're defensive centers with mediocre offensive games.

Kise - Kobe Bryant(who copies Jordan). They're both very skilled, athletic and all-around players. Their personality don't match though.

Midori - Probably any 3-point specialist would count but I would go with Ray Allen because their shooting outshines their other abilities. Midori doesn't even need screens to get his shot though.

Aomine - Allen Iverson. Practice? check. Unorthodox style? check. Ball hog? check. Attitude? check.

Tsugawa - Tony Allen. They are both great defensive players who lacks shooting.

Papa - Hasheem Thabeet. They only rely on their heights and came from abroad.

Kagami: Blake Griffin with better handles.
Kise: I liked the Kobe comparison, due to the move copying.
Midorama: Ray Allen + Peja Stojakovic + Kyle Korver
Daiki: A mix between AI and Dwyane Wade.
Murasakibara: A Manute Bol-esque shotblocker, who turns into prime Shaq when he plays offense.
Akashi- I'm stumped on him. Maybe a mix of Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard, and CP3. Just the ultimate PG
Kuroko- Jason Williams if only for the flashy passes

Kuroko is definitely Jason Williams. Watch highlight videos of some of the passes he made over the course of his career. He wasn't a scorer and didn't have that great of a jumpshot so I think he's the best comparison

i agree, damn that Kings team of the early 2000 was fun to watch they are like the original ball movement passing team

Akashi - Steve Nash (some shooting + ankle breaker crossovers)
Aomine - Dwyane Wade (great slasher and have good enough outside shot)
Murasakibara - Anthony Davis (blocking and rebounder)
Kise - Kobe Bryant (copied Michael Jordan)
Midorima - Reggie Miller or Ray Allen or Peja Stojakavich if i spell his name right (great 3 point shooters)
Kagami - poor mans Michael Jordan (only has Jordans air time and decent outside shooting)

Well as for me...

Kuroko - my perspective is Rajon Rondo, since he's well-known for his passing and basketball IQ, but lack of offensive skills..
Midorima - Klay Thompson, aside of being a catch-and-shoot and shot creator, man 57 points with 30+ at 3rd qtr only???
Kise - Kobe bryant is the closest, he can copy Michael Jordan
Aomine - Lebron James, coz the two are both very versatile players
Murasakibara - Yao Ming, if Murasakibara is the tallest well-known player (6'10).. well Yao Ming is also tallest player to have at least 1 all-star game
Akashi - well it's Kyrie Irving for me since Akashi is well-known for on-court presence and ankle breaking skills

For Seirin...
Kagami - Blake Griffin/DeAndre Jordan - poster monster! actually do the meteor jam dunk thing
Kiyoshi - Marc Gasol, they are both offensive and defensive threats
Hyuga - closest is Stpehen Curry because of clutch shots, but Hyuga is lack of dribbling skills since he's a catch-and-shoot guy, so I'll take Kyle Korver for him...
Izuki - Chris Paul, because they both have an excellent court vision and they're supernatural floor general
Mitobe - Roy Hibbert, because they're both well-known for their hook shots

Kuroko - Rajon Rondo (pass first, terrible shooting)
Kagami - Blake Griffin (insane vertical, dunks)
Kise - Kobe Bryant (copy jordan)
Midorima - Steph Curry (closest comparison atm, literally the entire half court is in his range)
Aomine - Michael Jordan/Lebron James (most dominant player in the generation, more similar to jordan if we're sticking to the Kise comparison)
Murasakibara - Yao Ming (dominant defensive player, dunks and blocks with ease)
Akashi - Chris Paul (unquestioned leader, handles, ankle breakers, can shoot from anywhere)

Kiyoshi - Marc Gasol (great passing big man)
Hanamiya - Matthew Dellavedova (injured korver, got horford and gibson ejected in the 2015 playoffs)
Kotaro - Kyrie Irving (insane dribbling)
Mibuchi - Reggie Miller (known for drawing fouls on 3s)
Nebuya - Shaq (immovable on both offensive and defensive end)

Kuroko IMO is Larry Bird in passing. Watch Larry Bird's best passes and tell me he didn't inspire Kuroko.
