| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That was... really good, actually. I'm really liking Black Jack and Pinoko as characters. The only con so far is how morality is so defined, there's no grey area, but then again, this seems more like a kids show than anything else. 4/5 |

| Akudo was already dead? Way too convenient. It throws the central conflict of the story away rather than actually resolving it. |
| This is a bit more cartoony than the older OVA series, far different tone to it. But good grief how big of a bastard can that old man be?! He framed the kid and bought off the town, this was wrong on so many levels. |
