In a magazine called OtakuUSA April 2012 issue, there was a review of Guilty Crown. In that review it said, "It's been planned for two seasons as of this writing"

I want to know what your thoughts would be if there were a second season of Guilty Crown. Would you like it or would you not? Is it a good idea for it to have a second season?

I really would like a 2nd season. I liked the story so far (despite the deaths of main characters and the betrayals).

for me it would depend on how this season ends. i probably wont be excited for a second season if its a different plot than the frist. like if the second season was a continuation off of the first then it would be fine but if its a completely different story then i would be afraid it would ruin the show for me.

Guilty Crown: Lost Christmas is a game. "Nitroplus is developing a spin-off visual novel tentatively named Guilty Crown: Lost Christmas (ギルティクラウン ロストクリスマス, Giruti Kuraun Rosuto Kurisumasu?).[5] The visual novel was previously known as Lost X.[5] The scenario writer for this game will be Jin Hanegaya, who also penned Demonbane.[20] The game will focus on the "Lost Christmas" incident. Yes I believe there should be one and not just because I'm a fan of this show but also because this season has improved a lot since the beginning. And there's the whole Daath organisation and Yuu which could easily become the antagonist for a season 2 (IMO Yuu didn't die, he teleported away like in episode 12).

If Guilty Crown had ended with an episode as epic as episodes: 15, 16, 19, or 21, then I would have easily rated it my all-time favourite anime. Unfortunately the ending I found was a little weak, not horrible, but nowhere near as epic as some of the other episodes. However, if episode 22 is simply a lead into the next season, then you bet your ass I want that season!!!

I would be absolutely delighted. If. They. Made. A. Second. Season.

I want to know more about Daryl. Rowan said, "If you have a change, be nicer to people! I know you're a lot nicer on the inside, Daryl!" DARYL. TT.TT SEE PEOPLE CARE ABOUT YOU. TT.TT (I actually cried a lot there)

I want to know how Ayase got paralyzed.

I want a Daryl x Tsugumi end.

I want Shu to fight like a bamf. Blind. It's an anime, of course it can happen.

I want, somehow, for Inori to come back.

I want to know more about Yuu and Daath.

I WANT IT TO BE A HAPPY ENDING.

GIMME A SEASON 2. I WILL BUY ALL GC PRODUCTS. GIMME A SEASON TWO. TT.TT

-continues to angst over the fact that it's over-

In all seriousness though (not like I wasn't serious up there), I have high hopes for a season 2. More animes nowadays are getting second seasons. It's pretty great. And it's rare that an original anime has a visual novel and a manga at the same time. Not to mention a radio thing too. And plus, the CD/DVD/BlueRay sales are doing amazing. All in all, all that plot for merely 22 episodes was too small. We need more episodes, and more explainations. Production IG is awesome. Please give us some more. :3

I'm just curious but this interview took place last year and it also says they planned for two seasons. The question is...with the way they "split" the 22 episodes, did we actually get 2 seasons?

Unfortunately, I think that yes...we did. I could be wrong (please let me be wrong), but, that's why I wanted to ask around.

Can anyone clarify that this was a 22 episode season or two 11 episode seasons? Of course, some evidence would be nice, but opinions and speculation are also welcome.

I demand a second season after watching the end of 22. There was just something so wrong about the way the show ended that I cannot simply accept it.

As it stands right now, I won't buy any GC merch out of spite of how they ended it, but if I hear of a green light on season 2? Aaww shit son... That'll probably change real fast and in a hurry. Said conversation would ensue:

Me: "WaitwaitwaitwaitWAIT! You're making a season 2?!?!?"
I.G.: "Yes, sales were good and there is enough demand for it that we decided to put another season into production."
Me: "Is it going to continue where Season 1 left off? Or will this be like where you have a "Season 2" that encompases another cast entirely?"
I.G.: "No, this will be a continuation of the story from Season 1 with Shu and--"
Me: "Excellent, excellent, now shut up and take my money."

*Serious note*
- To be honest the series captivated me early, yeah it got off a wee bit slow, but that's fine, it picked up and I think many people who dropped it picked it back up, helping in DVD/BR sales. I honest to god hope they get a second season, this ending was just way too sad to let it end like this. As it stands I can't give it more than a 4/10 due to the fast pace plot, lack of detail, and god-tier terrible end.
- I would be happy with just about anything, even a VN and I hate those things with a passion, so long as they give a second shot at this. OVA would be kick ass, and a flat out season two would be just a god-send.

ill just quote my previous reply in here

i do not think Guilty Crown will end soon though, a creator of the series said on twitter yesterday (the source is on facebook fan page of guilty crown) to pay attention to the last episode more, and that in an preseason interview (ANN has that interview) they say this show is 2 season and also back on that pay attention to this last episode, Gai said Da'ath will not allow Mana to die, if Mana get killed they will just revived her again and again, and it never shown too how Gai has been revived, so this might be what the twitter post is pointing out, a hint for another season

I thought so too, but no. Even now, like the topic starter said, the magazine said it's been planned for two season, not the 11 episodes. That counted as just... like, an intermission in a movie, for example. Most over 20-episode-animes have that middle part where they change OP/ED and stuff.

I'll make them choke on my money if that means a season 2 will be made (52 episodes) and there is a definite ending to the romance on all ends (Shu x Inori) (maybe Ayase x Daryl as endlave couple)

I think it could be nice with a 2 season, but what will happen? Is Inori dead or
alive? What will Shu do now? Ther are many thing that is bugging me with having a 2 season. But as i said it whould be nice with 2 season if Inori is still alive. The ending make's it hard to do a 2 season because Shu is much older and Inori is still dead what is seams. Sorry for bad spelling or grammar.

guilty crown is one of my favorite anime-s...the art was amazing,i liked the characters from the start , from the first episode, which is rare..and the story was awesome... Shu got blind, which was unexpected, Inori vanished, Hare (my favorite character ) died...Stupid Gai died as well, so the story is completed..if it was another season it would only ruin the Anime, like Dragonball ( to much Seasons...) so i think it's best if it stayed this way, so i can remembered it later on, in my life and still have a smile every time i do recall the memories...So it's best if it stayed..no season 2... This one was perfect..

Part of me really wants season 2, but the other part feels that the story should just end there.
But if there is a season 2, I want it to be a prequel too! I really want to find out more about the characters, like Ayase and how her legs were paralyzed.
I want it to be like Clannad Afterstory, much better than the original.

But, I like the fact that its mainly focused on the main characters. I'd rather want to see Shuu and Inori than the other characters as the plot revolves around them.
But yeah, theres lots of questions unanswered that need to be answered so I'd want a sequel...BUT THE ENDING WAS SO DAMN BEAUTIFUL IT SHOULD BE LEFT AS IT IS!

Im undecided in the end T_T

This girl said everything there is to be said.

It doesn't have to be prequel to explain how Ayase got paralyzed ( which I see is the biggest reason for people wanting one ).

Daryl x Tsugumi had a start, so they can't leave it as it is at the end of episode 22.

Shu should be able to fight, it would be cool if he becomes something like Daredevil, to learn to fight like Gai did at the beginning. It isn't impossible. xD

If Gai could be brought back, then it is possible for Inori too! Sircumstances surrounding their deaths are simmilar.

There is also too much mistery surrounding Yuu and Daath, their story has so many options and great potential.

And i have to admit I would like a happy ending to... and before anyone judges me for that, I have to say that 5 centimeters per second is one of my ( if not most ) favorite animes.

If they need some time to make another season, they should have it ( Just not to be forgotten ). If it goes to fast, it could be really ruined, and we don't want that.

Probably not... It has been way too long and most anime that take so much time to release a s2 means that they are not going to get one

I rly want a s2 as well but as it has been said the ending was conclusive (sad yes but it was a very good ending)...I want Inori back :'(... Since she was artificial from the beginig shouldnt be that hard to remake her or something they managed it on Gai.
