Since Shouta didn't have anything to do with the murder, why did Conan reveal his secret? Just because it made him feel clever? If this show weren't so relentlessly simple, maybe it could go somewhere interesting with that.

I laughed when the killer said he didn't like being a "host" because he "served women" rather than anything else like it requiring high alcohol consumption or being intensely dishonest and superficial by nature.

A standard Conan episode. Could tell it was that guy from the first episode.

And one cheesy ending, he changed back his face and started working as a chef. Gintama did it better.

So he had 2 plastic surgeries? Talk about an expensive waste of time.

Definitely one of the easiest non-filler, actual whodunit cases in a long while. I had everything solved by the end of Part 1, which rarely happens. Ending mighta been cheesy, but it was sweet. Glad Franky wasn't the murderer this time. XD Ayumi had some adorable scenes in this case too, plus her and Genta's scared faces were adorably hilarious. XD

This was definitely one of the easiest cases in a while like animefan8800 mentioned. I've never been good at solving the DC murders in general, but this was just overall a simple case. I really liked the ending though, seeing Shouta take the knife to continue following the path of a chef, brought a smile to my face and tears to my eyes. ;)
On a completely different note, did anyone else notice that Ayumi kept referring to herself in third person, or was it just the translators being weird? I dunno it was bothering me, but maybe it will hold significance to the story. Trying to act cutesy around Conan so he'll notice her perhaps? Maybe.
But yeah, okay episode I guess ;3

Well Granny at least got Shouta back onto his path of being a chef, so Granny is at least happy about that. And Conan exposing Shouta and mentioning that he pass by so he can check up on his grandma was sweet, so the grandma can relieve her grief.

He literally had no reason to disguise his face I don't get it. What a weird way to visit your grandma who was waiting for you all this time

@Fronzel Well, he had to reveal his secret because Conan had to make the deduction that Shouta knew the house and would have used the murder weapon in the shed instead of the hammer.
